Senior Integration & Backend Lead Engineer

Role Overview

The Senior Integration & Backend Lead Engineer will serve as a technical delivery lead for the RC Limit Tracker (Phase IV) project within the Wheels Business domain. This role leads the development of an event-driven, auditable limit ledger and rules engine that automates dealer Registration Certificate (RC) and collateral limit management to replace manual Excel tracking.

Key Responsibilities

• Limit Ledger & Rules Engine Development: Build the core RC Limit Service implementing category rules (CAT A/B/C), limit math (Permanent, Adhoc, Grace, Total), debit order processing (Adhoc first, then Permanent), and disbursal blocking rules.
• API Architecture & Build: Design and develop 10+ versioned, idempotent, and secure (OAuth2/mTLS) REST APIs covering limit maintenance, disbursal checks, reversals, deferrals, and reporting endpoints.
• Enterprise System Integrations: Drive contract-first integrations across core enterprise systems, including FinnOne CAS, MLP/BYOD, SimDocs/LMS PDD, Vahaan, and IDAM enterprise SSO.
• Data Modeling & Security: Design encrypted relational datastores (master, transactional ledger, audit logs) compliant with India RBI data residency guidelines.
• Testing & Defect Leadership: Lead system and integration testing across sandbox environments, direct UAT defect triage and root-cause analysis, and ensure test-to-requirement traceability.
• Technical Documentation: Author technical design specifications, API contracts, deployment runbooks, and conduct Knowledge Transfer (KT) sessions for client operations teams.

Required Technical Skills & Qualifications

• Backend & API Engineering: Advanced expertise in REST API engineering (OAuth2/mTLS, idempotency, versioning), event-driven patterns, and high-integrity transactional ledger logic.
• Enterprise Integrations: Proven track record integrating with banking/lending platforms (e.g., FinnOne CAS, LMS, IDAM, Vahaan).
• Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of BFSI lending concepts, specifically vehicle-loan origination, collateral/RC tracking, disbursal logic, and limit deferrals.
• Data Engineering: Hands-on relational database modeling, query optimization for reporting, and data encryption practices.
• Experience: 6+ years of software engineering experience with lead delivery responsibilities on cloud platforms.
