Job Title: Program Management Specialist
Job Description
This role leads end-to-end program change management, with a strong focus on post-FDJ program changes, Bill of Materials (BoM) structuring, and P-Release governance. You will coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, drive data accuracy and process compliance, and develop analytical tools that enhance visibility of program status, costs, and risks. The position suits a detail-oriented program professional with strong analytical skills, advanced Excel capabilities, and experience in product development, release management, and data analysis.
Responsibilities
- Lead the tracking, analysis, and implementation of all post-FDJ program changes through defined processes and cadences, ensuring timely and controlled execution.
- Participate in and support relevant governance and review meetings, such as Change Management Meetings, to present status, issues, and recommendations.
- Develop and implement BoM structuring strategies that ensure accurate modularity and bailment, and maintain alignment across all build phases.
- Partner with HWIM and CVS teams to perform BoM audits and validation, ensuring data integrity and consistency across systems.
- Collaborate with the Dunton program management lead to guide programs through a successful P-Release phase, leading and participating in review meetings and workshops.
- Lead cross-functional alignment meetings covering Change Management, BoM structuring, and P-Release, ensuring all stakeholders understand status, issues, and required actions.
- Consolidate and present BoM and cost status reports to stakeholders and leadership, highlighting risks, opportunities, and variances.
- Identify and implement process improvements in change management, BoM structuring, and P-Release activities to enhance efficiency and data quality.
- Support delivery of Change Control and BoM key performance indicators (KPIs), challenging assumptions and ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
- Represent the team in management reviews and stakeholder engagements, clearly communicating progress, issues, and mitigation plans.
- Generate and maintain daily and ad hoc Concern and Notice trackers, ensuring information is up to date and accurately reflects program status.
- Coordinate launch team tracker requests with Dunton LL6, ensuring alignment of priorities and timely delivery of requested information.
- Follow up offline on open engineering changes with stakeholders such as Engineering, Finance, HWIM, and Purchasing to drive closure.
- Liaise with PVT on running changes, ensuring effective communication and alignment between program and production teams.
- Perform financial audit control activities, including uploading 2-pagers and linked Change Requests (CRQs) to SharePoint and EDMS to support ISO compliance.
- Resolve Concern and Notice issues with affected functions in a timely manner, ensuring corrective actions are identified and implemented.
- Perform Concern quality checks in collaboration with HWIM, Dunton program management, and Engineering to ensure robust issue definition and resolution.
- Lead colour releasing work with PPM, ensuring correct and timely release of colour-related items.
- Identify and escalate misalignments between Product Definition Letters (PDL) and releasing strategy in collaboration with the program management change management analyst.
- Investigate BoM errors using PPM Empress reports to establish root cause and recommend corrective actions.
- Populate Concerns on behalf of Engineering to support fast-track processes and ensure issues are captured and managed effectively.
- Support P-Release meetings and workshops by preparing data, tracking actions, and ensuring decisions are documented and implemented.
- Check service releases for correct authority, part class, and service indicator accuracy, ensuring compliance with defined standards.
- Develop change management tools, such as Change Request quality and ageing analysis dashboards, to improve visibility and decision-making.
- Provide ageing, churn, and NTEI (Non-Tooling Engineering Investment) analysis for leadership to inform strategic decisions.
- Build new tools for BoM error detection and WERS data analysis, including the development of macros and automation to improve efficiency and data quality.
Essential Skills
- Proven experience in program management, with a focus on change control, BoM management, or release governance.
- Experience in product development, release management, and data analysis, preferably within complex engineering or manufacturing environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical and analytical information clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages, with particular strength in Advanced Excel, including complex formulas, data analysis, and reporting.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and deadlines.
- Ability to lead cross-functional meetings and drive alignment across Engineering, Finance, HWIM, Purchasing, PVT, and other stakeholder groups.
- Attention to detail and a high standard of data quality, especially in BoM structuring, cost tracking, and change documentation.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience developing analytical tools and dashboards for change management, including CR quality and ageing analysis.
- Experience building tools for BoM error detection and WERS data analysis, including the use of macros and automation.
- Familiarity with BoM structuring strategies, modularity concepts, and bailment processes.
- Experience working with systems such as PPM, Empress, SharePoint, and EDMS or similar platforms for data management and documentation.
- Exposure to financial audit controls and ISO-compliant documentation processes.
- Experience liaising with cross-functional teams across engineering, finance, purchasing, and production environments.
- Knowledge of AI and large language models (LLMs) is advantageous, particularly where they can support data analysis or process automation.
Work Environment
The role operates in a structured, process-driven environment that emphasizes data accuracy, governance, and cross-functional collaboration. You will work closely with engineering, finance, purchasing, HWIM, PVT, and program management teams, participating in regular review meetings, workshops, and change management forums. The position relies heavily on digital tools and platforms, including Microsoft Office (with extensive use of Advanced Excel), SharePoint, EDMS, PPM, and reporting systems such as Empress for BoM analysis. Work typically involves managing multiple concurrent changes and initiatives, maintaining detailed trackers, and preparing clear, concise reports and presentations for stakeholders and leadership.
