Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled Frontend Engineer to develop, maintain, and enhance the user interface of the Cortex platform. The candidate should have strong knowledge of modern frontend technologies, API integration, debugging, and UI testing. The role requires someone who can work independently on assigned tasks while maintaining existing application functionality and following established engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain frontend components, application screens, and user-facing features.
• Understand the existing Cortex frontend architecture, component structure, and application workflows.
• Implement UI enhancements and resolve frontend defects based on business and technical requirements.
• Integrate frontend components with backend APIs and services.
• Develop reusable, responsive, and maintainable UI components.
• Troubleshoot UI defects, browser compatibility issues, API integration failures, and performance bottlenecks.
• Write clean, readable, modular, and testable code.
• Perform unit testing, component testing, and regression testing.
• Optimize page performance, responsiveness, and overall user experience.
• Collaborate with backend engineers, UX/UI teams, QA, DevOps, and platform teams.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical discussions.
• Maintain technical documentation and follow established development standards.
• Support cross-team collaboration and knowledge transfer during the transition of Cortex platform ownership.

Required Skills

• 5 8+ years of frontend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Hands-on experience with React, Angular, Vue.js, or another modern frontend framework.
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and reusable components.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and handling asynchronous requests.
• Understanding of state management, browser debugging, and frontend performance optimization.
• Experience with frontend testing frameworks and automated testing practices.
• Familiarity with Git, code reviews, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD workflows.
• Ability to understand and enhance an existing codebase without unnecessary redesign.
• Strong analytical, debugging, communication, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with component libraries, design systems, and accessibility standards.
• Familiarity with frontend monitoring, application security, and production troubleshooting.
• Exposure to micro-frontends and enterprise application architectures.
