Invent Health is seeking a senior healthcare payer leader to help scale our next stage of growth across Risk Adjustment, Coding & Coder Workbench, Encounters, Quality, Analytics, and Payer Intelligence.

This is a highly visible executive role for someone who understands how health plans actually consume data, evaluate risk-adjustment performance, manage coding and encounter workflows, forecast financial outcomes, and hold technology vendors accountable for measurable results.

The successful candidate will initially spend approximately six months in Chennai, working closely with our product, engineering, analytics, clinical, coding, and PMO teams to strengthen Invent Health’s delivery operating model. The role will then transition to the U.S., with continued executive oversight across payer solutions, delivery excellence, client outcomes, and growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Own delivery excellence across Invent Health’s payer solutions, including Risk Adjustment, Coder Workbench and Coding, Encounters, Quality, and analytics.
  • Provide payer-side review and business validation of suspect lists, chase lists, RAF forecasts, dashboards, coding outputs, encounter workflows, and other client deliverables.
  • Establish rigorous quality and readiness standards before major analytics and product outputs are released to clients.
  • Turn complex data and analytics into actionable business intelligence for health-plan executives.
  • Partner with India team leads and PMO to create scalable delivery processes, clear accountability, and reliable executive reporting.
  • Strengthen implementation governance, SOW tracking, milestone management, escalation processes, and client-level delivery discipline.
  • Review and challenge product outputs from a health-plan perspective and provide feedback to product, engineering, analytics, and clinical teams.
  • Support strategic client meetings, QBRs, renewals, expansions, proposals, and product demonstrations.
  • Help develop and mentor India-based delivery and domain leaders.
  • Partner with the CPO and product teams on payer needs, product direction, and market opportunities.
  • Contribute to new business growth through client relationships, market knowledge, and strategic introductions where appropriate.
  • Help Invent Health develop new capabilities in areas such as forecasting, payer intelligence, claims/encounter analytics, and decision support.

Ideal background

  • Extensive experience within a U.S. health plan or healthcare payer organization.
  • Deep knowledge of Medicare Advantage risk adjustment and related payer operations.
  • Strong understanding of coding, encounters, claims, forecasting, analytics, and financial performance.
  • Experience interpreting risk-adjustment analytics, suspecting, chase strategies, and RAF forecasting.
  • Strong executive communication and client-facing skills.
  • Experience managing complex delivery, cross-functional initiatives, and external vendors.
  • Ability to challenge analytical outputs and translate data into business decisions.
  • Strong operational judgment and attention to delivery quality.
  • Comfortable working across product, technology, data, clinical, coding, and client teams.
  • Hands-on leadership style with a strong bias toward accountability and execution.

Chennai executive assignmentThe first six months will be based in Chennai and are intended as an executive build assignment, not simply an offshore rotation.

The leader will work directly with Invent Health’s India organization to:

  • strengthen delivery processes;
  • develop team leads;
  • improve analytics and product assurance;
  • establish scalable client operating models;
  • build stronger PMO and reporting disciplines;
  • and create a delivery organization capable of supporting 10+ health-plan clients.

Invent Health will provide furnished executive accommodation, local transportation support, travel/relocation assistance, and appropriate support for the temporary Chennai assignment.
