Location: Pune, Maharashtra (hybrid; at least 3 days a week in office)

Working hours: Partial overlap with US business hours to work with client stakeholders

Experience: 15+ years in IT services, with the last 5 years spent leading delivery for a banking client

Reports to: Delivery Director / Account Delivery Head – Banking

Team size: 50–150 people

About the role

The Delivery Lead owns day-to-day delivery, client satisfaction and account health for one strategic banking client, run from our Pune delivery center. You will be the bank's main delivery contact and accountable for every commitment the team makes.

You will lead a team across development, testing and support. You will also find ways to grow the account and keep delivery compliant with the bank's security and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

Delivery management

• Own end-to-end delivery of all projects for the bank.
• Run delivery governance: daily and weekly status reviews, monthly steering committees and QBR inputs.
• Prepare and present weekly status reports to the customer, covering progress on deliverables, milestones, risks, issues and next steps.
• Publish monthly delivery reports covering SLA and KPI performance, deliverables completed, quality metrics, resource status and improvement actions.
• Track SLAs, KPIs, milestones and risks. Step in early on red or amber projects and lead recovery.
• Drive automation, AI-assisted engineering and productivity improvements.

Client relationship

• Work with US-based stakeholders during overlapping hours for status calls, planning sessions and escalations.
• Serve as the main delivery contact for the bank's stakeholders, from IT managers to heads of technology.
• Build trust through predictable delivery, clear reporting and proactive communication.
• Manage escalations to closure and keep CSAT at or above target.

Account financials and growth

• Manage account revenue, margin, utilization, pyramid and monthly billing accuracy.
• Support forecasting, change requests and SOW renewals.
• Identify new scope and work with account management and pre-sales on proposals.

People leadership

• Lead and mentor project managers, scrum masters and technical leads.
• Plan resourcing, hiring and onboarding with HR and the resource management team.
• Build a motivated team with clear goals, regular feedback and strong retention.

Risk, security and compliance

• Ensure delivery meets the bank's and regulators' requirements.
• Maintain information security, data privacy and audit readiness.
• Manage contract compliance and delivery risk.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• 15+ years in IT services, with the last 5 years spent leading delivery for a banking client.
• Experience leading teams of 50+ and managing an account or programmes.
• Hands-on experience delivering for clients in the US.
• Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum, SAFe, DevOps and Waterfall.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure.
• Working knowledge of APIs and microservices, data and analytics, and test automation.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.

Banking domain expertise

• Experience in Trade Settlement, Wealth Management, Accounting and Asset Servicing.
• Understanding of US market practices such as T+1 settlement, DTCC processes, and payments (ACH, Fedwire, SWIFT).
• Exposure to TCS BaNCS would be helpful. Familiarity with other platforms common in US banking, such as FIS, Fiserv, Broadridge or SS&C, is a plus.

Preferred qualifications

• PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM/SAFe or ITIL certification.
• Experience with transitions or core banking modernization programmes.
• Experience with Core Java and React is a plus.
• Prior experience working from Pune or another major Indian delivery hub.
