Engineering Manager – PHP & Web Tech

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead software engineering teams, optimize delivery processes, and drive people development across multiple product teams. The role primarily focuses on engineering team management, delivery excellence, Agile execution, and stakeholder collaboration rather than hands-on development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage software engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
• Drive sprint planning, roadmap execution, delivery tracking, and risk management.
• Coach engineers and Technical Leads, manage performance, and support career development.
• Monitor engineering KPIs, including DORA and SPACE metrics, to improve productivity and delivery predictability.
• Establish effective Agile practices, CI/CD workflows, release governance, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and senior leadership to resolve dependencies and delivery blockers.
• Promote team engagement, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.Must-Have Skills
• Proven engineering management experience, including managing teams of 5+ engineers.
• Strong people leadership, mentoring, performance management, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
• Knowledge of DORA metrics, engineering delivery KPIs, CI/CD, and software release processes.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams, delivery commitments, and stakeholder expectations.
• Strong communication and distributed-team management skills.Good-to-Have Skills
• Previous experience in software development or technical leadership.
• Familiarity with PHP, Node.js, TypeScript, AWS, or API gateways.
• Experience with SaaS products, API-driven applications, and cloud-native platforms.
• Knowledge of SRE, platform reliability, and engineering process transformation.
