The RoleWe’re looking for a hands-on Software Development Engineer with around 1- 2 years of experience who is passionate about software engineering and building AI-powered products.

You will work across backend services, web applications, databases and AI integrations, developing and shipping features used by enterprise customers. From designing APIs and building user-facing features to experimenting with AI capabilities and improving system performance, you will have the opportunity to contribute across the product lifecycle.

We’re particularly interested in engineers who go beyond writing code - people who enjoy understanding how systems work, building meaningful projects, exploring open-source technologies and using AI to solve real-world problems.

What You’ll Work On

• Design, develop and ship product features across the full stack.
• Build and maintain backend services, APIs and database solutions.
• Develop responsive, intuitive and reliable user-facing web applications.
• Build and integrate AI-powered features using LLMs and other relevant AI technologies.
• Experiment with AI tools, frameworks and open-source models to solve practical product challenges.
• Write clean, maintainable, reusable and well-tested code.
• Debug issues, optimise application performance and improve system reliability.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions and feature planning.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Contribute to deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement of the platform.What We’re Looking For
• Around 2 years of hands-on software development experience.
• Strong programming fundamentals, data structures, algorithms and problem-solving skills.
• Practical experience building and maintaining web applications, backend services and APIs.
• Good understanding of databases, software design principles and application architecture.
• Hands-on experience building AI-powered applications or integrating AI/LLM capabilities into software products, with a clear understanding of how these systems work.
• Familiarity with Git, debugging, testing and collaborative development workflows.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable and reliable code.
• Strong ownership, curiosity and willingness to explore unfamiliar technologies.
• Ability to work independently, communicate clearly and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced startup environment.Good to Have
• A strong GitHub portfolio showcasing high-quality personal projects, AI-powered applications or meaningful contributions to established open-source projects. We value projects that demonstrate technical depth, clean code, thoughtful problem-solving and real functionality over simple tutorial-based implementations.
• Experience with LLM APIs, MCP, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI agents, voice AI or other generative AI applications.
• Familiarity with modern frontend and backend frameworks.
• Experience working with relational or NoSQL databases.
• Exposure to cloud platforms, Docker, containers and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with automated testing, application monitoring or performance optimisation.
• Contributions to open-source libraries, developer tools or AI-related projects.Eligibility
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Approximately 2 years of relevant software development experience.
• Available to work full-time, on-site at our Mumbai office.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with evolving requirements.
