Summary

UST is seeking a highly skilled Java Full Stack Developer with expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, Angular/React, MongoDB, SQL, and Kafka. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting enterprise-grade applications while contributing throughout the Application Development Life Cycle (ADLC). This role requires strong hands-on development experience, analytical thinking, and the ability to build scalable and high-performing applications.

The Opportunity

As a Java Full Stack Developer, you will be responsible for building modern, scalable, and secure enterprise applications. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, QA teams, and development teams to deliver innovative solutions while ensuring code quality, application performance, and adherence to best practices.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based enterprise applications.
  • Analyze detailed business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
  • Develop backend services and RESTful APIs using Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Microservices architecture.
  • Build responsive and dynamic user interfaces using Angular or React.
  • Develop and maintain data access layers using Spring Data JPA and MongoDB.
  • Design and implement event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka.
  • Develop and optimize SQL queries and database interactions.
  • Perform unit testing, integration testing, and defect resolution activities.
  • Conduct code reviews and technical design reviews to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Integrate applications with internal and external services, APIs, and enterprise platforms.
  • Own and manage module-level development activities and ensure adherence to solution architecture.
  • Perform profiling, debugging, and performance tuning of Java applications.
  • Support deployment, maintenance, and production issue resolution.
  • Collaborate effectively with architects, business analysts, QA teams, and stakeholders.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and engineering best practices.

What You Need

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of software development experience.
  • Strong hands-on expertise in Java 8/11/17+.
  • Experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Framework, and Spring Data JPA.
  • Strong understanding of Microservices architecture and RESTful API development.
  • Experience with frontend frameworks such as Angular or React.
  • Hands-on experience with MongoDB and relational databases.
  • Strong SQL development and database querying skills.
  • Experience with Apache Kafka and event-driven architectures.
  • Strong knowledge of software design principles, design patterns, and enterprise application development.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
