About Us

Viamagus Select is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to help build technology that makes healthcare easier to access and improves the patient experience. You’ll work at the intersection of cloud computing, generative AI, and healthcare, developing voice-based and conversational applications that help patients navigate the healthcare system.

This is a hands-on engineering role with technical leadership, customer collaboration, requirements ownership, and production delivery responsibilities. You’ll work with a distributed engineering team and collaborate directly with US-based startup clients and partner teams.

What You’ll Do

• Build Python applications and scalable services that automate patient interactions with healthcare systems.
• Design and develop applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Lead a local development team and serve as a technical point of contact for complex architectural and implementation challenges.
• Turn ambiguous business needs into clear, actionable engineering requirements.
• Work directly with customers and product owners to clarify requests and agree on scope, priorities, and trade-offs.
• Lead requirements gathering for projects that may span multiple people and months.
• Identify and manage technical, architectural, and delivery risks early.
• Build, test, and maintain applications in a full CI/CD environment.
• Develop high-performance, low-latency services and troubleshoot production issues.
• Integrate user-facing components through server-side logic, working closely with front-end developers.
• Partner with Data Science teams to deploy machine-learning models and integrate them with existing APIs.
• Coordinate with customers and partner teams to deliver product requirements.What You’ll Bring
• 5+ years of total IT experience.
• 4+ years of Python development experience, with a strong record of delivering successful projects.
• 3+ years of software engineering experience on a software team.
• 2+ years of experience developing applications in a cloud environment, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with at least one Python framework, such as Django, FastAPI, Flask, or Pyramid.
• Experience working in a full CI/CD environment.
• Experience coordinating with Data Science teams to deploy machine-learning models into production.
• Strong communication and customer collaboration skills, including the ability to clarify under-specified requirements and explain technical trade-offs.
• A track record of taking ownership and delivering reliable software.Nice to Have
• Working knowledge of React and other front-end technologies.
• Experience with Redux.
• Exposure to machine-learning models and techniques.
• Experience working with healthcare data.
• Experience delivering products for startup clients or collaborating with distributed teams.Education

BE, BTech, or MTech.
