Senior Data Analyst - Advanced Power BI | SQL | Data Modelling

We're looking for a hands-on Senior Data Analyst with advanced Power BI and SQL expertise — someone who can go beyond building dashboards to design robust data models, develop complex DAX measures, optimize analytical solutions, and transform complex datasets into reliable, decision-ready insights.

If your experience is limited to basic Power BI dashboards, Excel reporting, or writing simple SQL queries, this role may not be the right fit. We need someone who understands the complete analytical lifecycle, from data preparation and transformation to modelling, visualization, validation, deployment, and performance optimization.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to design, develop, and govern advanced analytics solutions that transform complex operational data into actionable business insights.

This role combines advanced Power BI development, SQL-based data analysis, data modelling, ETL/ELT processes, and analytical quality assurance. You'll own analytical solutions end to end — from understanding business requirements and integrating data sources to developing semantic models, building dashboards, validating results, and optimizing performance.

You'll partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define KPIs, standardize reporting, improve data reliability, and enable data-driven decisions across global operations.

What We're Looking For

Mandatory Skills - Strong hands-on experience required:

Power BI (Advanced): Strong expertise in DAX, Power Query, data modelling, dashboard development, performance optimization, security, and governance.
SQL (Advanced): Strong command of complex joins, CTEs, window functions, aggregations, subqueries, and data validation.
ETL/ELT: Solid understanding of data extraction, transformation, loading, integration, and repeatable data-preparation processes.
Data Modelling: Experience with dimensional modelling, star schemas, semantic models, and reusable analytical datasets.
Data Quality & Validation: Ability to implement reconciliation checks, investigate discrepancies, and ensure accuracy across reporting solutions.
Data Integration: Experience working with multiple data sources and building reliable transformation workflows.
Advanced Excel: Strong experience with complex formulas, Power Query, data modelling, and analytical validation.
Analytical Solution Ownership: Experience translating business requirements into scalable analytical solutions, testing deliverables, and managing stakeholder acceptance.
Experience: 5–7 years in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Reporting, or related analytics roles.

Good to Have

Python or R for data manipulation, automation, statistical analysis, and data-quality checks.
Working knowledge of cloud data platforms and warehouses such as Azure, AWS, Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks.
Familiarity with APIs, JSON, Git/version control, CI/CD concepts, and structured deployment practices.
Experience with Power Apps and Power Automate for analytical workflow automation.
Knowledge of statistical methods, forecasting, experimentation, anomaly detection, or predictive analytics.
Experience in operational analytics, shared services, media, finance, workforce analytics, or compliance.
Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst certification or equivalent credentials.
