Position: Senior Software Engineer (PHP | MongoDB | MySQL | Elasticsearch | Laravel)

Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, consumer-facing web applications using LAMP stack technologies.
• Architect and optimize Elasticsearch-based indexing and querying systems.
• Build and manage RESTful APIs that power our front-end applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including front-end developers, DevOps, and product managers.
• Ensure application security through best practices, including XSS, CSRF, input validation, and other security measures.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following coding standards and best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, contribute to architectural decisions, and mentor junior developers as needed.
• Work with Git or similar version control systems for source code management.
• Maintain and optimize MySQL and MongoDB schemas, queries, and overall database performance.
• Contribute to deployment processes with a working understanding of Nginx and AWS and other DevOps tools.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and evaluate their use where beneficial. Exposure to AI/ML is a plus.

Key Skills & Requirements:

• 4–8 years of experience in backend development with strong PHP expertise.
• Strong hands-on experience with MVC frameworks, particularly Laravel.
• Proficiency in MySQL database design, query optimization, and performance tuning.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB and Elasticsearch, including index architecture, querying, and optimization.
• Experience in designing, developing, and integrating REST APIs.
• Familiarity with JavaScript and jQuery.
• Good understanding of Nginx in development and deployment environments.
• Proficiency in Git or similar version control systems.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong foundational knowledge of software development principles, algorithms, and data structures.

Good to Have:

• Exposure to AWS, Akamai, or other cloud/CDN services.
• Understanding of DevOps tools and CI/CD processes.
• Exposure to AI/ML implementation along with Python.
• Knowledge of application security best practices and mitigation strategies.
