About the role

We are seeking an experienced Shopify TypeScript Developer with 7+ years of overall software development experience and strong expertise in building, customizing, and optimizing Shopify eCommerce solutions. The ideal candidate should have deep knowledge of Shopify Plus, TypeScript, JavaScript, Liquid, and modern frontend frameworks, along with experience integrating third-party applications, APIs, and payment gateways.

The candidate will work closely with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-performance Shopify storefronts and custom applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Shopify and Shopify Plus eCommerce solutions.
• Build custom Shopify themes, storefronts, and applications using TypeScript, JavaScript, and Shopify APIs.
• Develop and customize Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
• Create and maintain Shopify apps (public and private) leveraging Shopify's Admin API, Storefront API, GraphQL, and REST APIs.
• Integrate third-party platforms such as ERP, CRM, payment gateways, shipping systems, and marketing automation tools.
• Optimize storefront performance, SEO, accessibility, and conversion rates.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and follow DevOps best practices for deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to deliver seamless customer experiences.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide production support.
• Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.
• Stay updated with Shopify ecosystem enhancements and emerging eCommerce trends.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• 7+ years of experience in web application development.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with Shopify/Shopify Plus development.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Experience with React.js / Next.js, or similar modern frameworks.
• Expertise in Shopify Liquid templating language.
• Experience with Shopify Admin API, Storefront API, GraphQL, and REST APIs.
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, SASS/SCSS, and responsive web design.
• Experience integrating:
• Payment gateways
• Shipping solutions
• Inventory management systems
• ERP/CRM platforms
• Familiarity with Git, GitHub/GitLab, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
