Senior Manager-Digital Product Management

American Express
Bengaluru, Karnataka, India

Job Description

The eCRMS (Enterprise Customer Relationship Management Solutions) team sits within ICRST and supports the GCS and ICS iterative delivery teams’ sales tooling and deal-flow platforms, built primarily on Salesforce, ensuring the sales organization has the day-to-day product capabilities it needs to run the business. This team partners closely with Sales Always On and Business Health engineering teams and eCRMS product managers across the GCS and ICS sales domains to keep the platform healthy and continuously improving.

The Senior Manager, Digital Product Management will own the day-to-day business health of the GCS and ICS Salesforce platform, driving product enhancements that impact sales tooling and deal flow from initial change request through to a deployed, tested solution. This is a high-agency individual contributor role with no direct reports, responsible for keeping many concurrent issues moving in parallel across product, engineering, and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end process of taking a business-submitted Change Request from intake through aligned business requirements, a solution agreement with Engineering and Product, agile development, and a tested, deployed solution that meets the original business purpose.
  • Partner directly with Product Managers, Engineering, and Sales (business) stakeholders to gather and align on business requirements, then bring Engineering and Product together to compile a comprehensive solution agreement.
  • Once a solution is approved, break down the PM-authored feature into stories and work with assigned TPMs to slot the work across available engineering teams for an upcoming sprint.
  • Serve as the accountable owner for advancing Change Requests to their next stage and ultimately into build with the iterative delivery engineering teams.
  • Manage multiple concurrent issues and initiatives simultaneously, with strong project management skill to keep many workstreams progressing at once without dropping details.
  • Influence outcomes through building and maintaining strong working relationships across Sales Always On and Business Health engineering teams and eCRMS product managers in the GCS and ICS sales space

Qualifications

  • 10+ Years of experience.
  • Strong Salesforce platform knowledge strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience owning or managing an internal user-facing platform is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work across multiple teams and issues at once, with strong organizational and project management skills to advance several initiatives simultaneously.
  • Experience partnering with Technical Program Managers (TPMs) and Engineering to translate approved solutions into sprint-ready stories.
  • Comfortable operating in an agile software development environment, from requirements through deployment.
  • Strong communication skills; able to work effectively with Product, Engineering, and Sales business stakeholders at all levels.
  • People management experience is a nice to have but not required. This is a high agency individual contributor role with no direct reports who will work across multiple delivery teams and stakeholders.
