Role Description The Senior Shopify Developer will lead the design, development, and maintenance of high-performing Shopify stores for clients, with a focus on theme customization, performance optimization, and seamless user experiences. Day-to-day responsibilities include implementing custom Shopify themes, building and integrating apps, configuring storefronts, and ensuring stable, secure, and scalable solutions. The role involves collaborating with designers, project managers, and other developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions, as well as reviewing code, mentoring junior developers, and contributing to best practices. The Senior Shopify Developer will also troubleshoot production issues, optimize conversion funnels, and stay current with Shopify platform updates and ecosystem tools. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Gurugram.

Qualifications

• Strong Shopify expertise, including custom theme development, Liquid templating, and experience with Shopify apps and APIs.
• Solid front-end development skills in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive design frameworks.
• Experience with modern web development practices, including version control (Git), build tools, and performance optimization.
• Background in eCommerce development, covering checkout flows, payment gateways, analytics integration, and SEO best practices.
• Ability to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver maintainable, well-documented code.
• Comfort working in cross-functional teams, mentoring peers, and contributing to code reviews and architectural decisions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Prior experience in an agency or startup environment and familiarity with other platforms (e.g., Shopify Plus, headless commerce) is a plus.
