Job Description:

Must have

6+ years backend engineering, strong Python (3.11+); strong SQL and data modelling on PostgreSQL

Hands-on with a durable execution or workflow orchestration engine ? Temporal, AWS Step Functions, Cadence, Airflow, Camunda or similar. You can explain why a long-running human-gated process is not a DAG

Solid AWS: Lambda, Fargate/ECS, Aurora, S3, SQS/EventBridge, Secrets Manager, IAM

Real experience integrating third-party and internal enterprise APIs ? OAuth and app-only auth, pagination, rate limits, webhooks vs polling, partial failure, eventual consistency

You have debugged a production system where the failure was in someone else's API, and you designed around it

Event-driven and asynchronous design; distributed systems failure modes (retries, duplicates, ordering, timeouts)

Testing discipline: unit tests on pure decision logic, integration tests against sandboxes, replay tests for workflow changes

Strongly preferred

Worked on an agent or LLM-backed system in production ? tool calling, structured output, prompt and model versioning, evaluation harnesses

Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol), or a demonstrated grasp of standardised tool interfaces

LangGraph, or another multi-agent framework, used seriously rather than in a tutorial

Regulated or audited environment experience ? pharma, finance, healthcare, aviation. Audit trails, access control, change control, validation

Microsoft Graph (mail, calendar), Veeva Vault, or comparable enterprise SaaS APIs

Observability: structured logging, tracing, metrics, cost attribution per call
