Role Description

Lead AI-Assisted Software Engineer (Offshore) We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer with strong hands-on development expertise and a passion for leveraging AI tools to improve engineering productivity and delivery outcomes. This is not an AI/ML model development role. The focus is on building applications, automation, and solutions using existing AI platforms, APIs, and coding assistants while providing technical leadership to the team. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, testing, and deployment of scalable enterprise applications.
• Remain hands-on with coding and contribute to critical development activities, code reviews, troubleshooting, and solution implementation.
• Leverage AI-powered development tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Windsurf, etc.) to accelerate development, improve quality, and reduce delivery timelines.
• Develop automation solutions, utilities, and integrations using Python.
• Integrate existing AI/LLM APIs and services into business applications and workflows.
• Provide technical leadership to development teams, ensuring adherence to architecture, coding standards, security, and best practices.
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers on modern development practices and effective use of AI tools.
• Drive solution design discussions and collaborate with architects, product owners, business analysts, and QA teams.
• Lead estimation, technical planning, risk identification, and mitigation for assigned workstreams.
• Ensure delivery quality through code reviews, automated testing practices, and CI/CD adoption.
• Evaluate and recommend opportunities to improve engineering efficiency through AI-assisted software development. Required Skills
• 8+ years of software development experience with strong hands-on coding capability.
• Proficiency in Python and modern application development technologies.
• Experience building and integrating REST APIs, microservices, and cloud-native applications.
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, design patterns, DevOps, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies.
• Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted development tools to increase productivity and code quality.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide hands-on leadership during critical deliveries.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Profile
