About the role

As a Software Engineer at Aethel Defense, you will build and scale the backend services and execution engines that power our AI security assessments. You’ll work directly on distributed, high-concurrency systems designed to simulate adversarial attacks against LLMs, autonomous agents, and cloud-hosted AI pipelines.

This is a full-time, fully remote role for an engineer who loves clean architecture, hard security problems, and shipping fast, reliable software.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Computer Science principles, including data structures, algorithms, and software architecture.
• Experience with Software Development and Programming in one or more modern languages (e.g., Python, Go, Java, C++, or similar).
• Proficiency in Back-End Web Development, including APIs, microservices, and working with databases and cloud-native environments.
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and familiarity with modular, maintainable code design.
• Comfort working in remote, distributed teams with effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with version control (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
• Knowledge of security concepts, AI/ML systems, or adversarial testing is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
