About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Developer – React.js to join our existing team, with the opportunity to grow and contribute to long-term projects. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in React.js, Vanilla JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS/SCSS, and responsive web development.

The role is particularly suited to an experienced frontend developer with a background in the Video/OTT industry, TV/Smart TV application development, and a strong understanding of UI/UX across web, mobile and TV platforms. The candidate should be comfortable working independently and collaboratively, taking ownership of frontend development, making technical decisions, mentoring junior developers, and solving complex frontend challenges.

Responsibilities:

• Develop new user-facing features, reusable React components, and frontend libraries.
• Translate UI/UX designs, prototypes and wireframes into high-quality, production-ready code.
• Develop and maintain responsive web and Smart TV/OTT applications.
• Build user interfaces optimized for different screen sizes, browsers and web-capable devices.
• Optimize frontend components and applications for maximum performance across Smart TVs, set-top boxes, gaming consoles and mobile/web platforms.
• Develop and maintain single-page applications (SPAs) using React.js.
• Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs and GraphQL services.
• Ensure responsive design, cross-browser compatibility and adherence to web standards.
• Debug and resolve frontend functional, UI, browser compatibility and performance-related issues.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to frontend coding standards and best practices.
• Write and maintain frontend tests using frameworks such as Jest, Jasmine or Karma.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, backend developers, QA engineers and other stakeholders.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior frontend developers.
• Stay updated with the latest frontend technologies and industry best practices.
• Convert prototypes, R&D concepts and technical solutions into scalable, production-quality applications.

Requirements:

• Strong commercial experience in React.js and modern frontend development.
• Excellent hands-on experience with HTML5, CSS3/SCSS and JavaScript (ES6+).
• Strong experience with TypeScript.
• Proven experience in responsive web development and mobile-first UI development.
• Hands-on experience developing TV/Smart TV applications.
• Professional experience working with OTT platforms / Video applications.
• Good understanding of responsive UI, cross-browser compatibility and web standards.
• Experience with REST APIs and/or GraphQL.
• Commercial experience building single-page applications (SPAs).
• Experience with frontend testing frameworks such as Jest, Jasmine or Karma.
• Strong understanding of CSS Flexbox, Grid and responsive layouts.
• Strong frontend debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience identifying and resolving functional and performance issues in frontend applications.
• Good understanding of frontend performance optimization.
• Experience working with reusable components and frontend libraries.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership and make technical decisions.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience mentoring or guiding junior developers is an advantage.
