Job Description

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Associate, Full-Stack Engineer to join our Wealth Services Engineering team. This role is located in Pune

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Own end-to-end technical delivery, from requirements analysis and solution design through development, testing, deployment, stabilization, and support.
  • Lead architecture, component and integration design for enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, event-driven services, and distributed systems.
  • Define service boundaries, data flows, API contracts, and integration patterns; apply clean architecture, domain-driven design, SOLID principles, and suitable design patterns.
  • Engineer for scalability, security, reliability, maintainability, fault tolerance, and recoverability, using resiliency patterns such as retries, timeouts, circuit breakers, idempotency, and graceful degradation.
  • Use Python for automation, scripting, data processing, backend utilities, application integration, and AI orchestration.
  • Integrate AI/ML models, LLM or NLP services, inference APIs, and intelligent automation with validation, preprocessing, post-processing, fallback handling, monitoring, traceability, security, privacy, governance, and human oversight.
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions, clearly documenting trade-offs, dependencies, risks, and non-functional requirements.
  • Establish automated unit, integration, API, contract, regression, performance, and resilience testing; enforce secure coding and engineering standards through design and code reviews.
  • Implement observability using structured logging, metrics, tracing, monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and runbooks; lead troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, remediation, and performance optimization.
  • Support application modernization, CI/CD, release validation, incident response, and post-release stabilization.
  • Provide hands-on technical direction, coordinate delivery across developers and components, mentor team members, and collaborate with product, architecture, QA, DevOps, data, security, and support teams.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent practical experience; advanced degree preferred.
  • 4–8 years of enterprise software development experience, with substantial hands-on Java backend engineering and technical leadership.
  • Advanced proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, microservices, REST APIs, Angular, object-oriented design, SOLID principles, design patterns, clean architecture, and domain-driven design.
  • Strong distributed-systems expertise, including service decomposition, synchronous and asynchronous integration, resiliency, fault tolerance, observability, API security, and highly available design.
  • Strong experience with Oracle, SQL, transactions, data-access patterns, and query optimization.
  • Practical hands-on Python experience for automation, scripting, data processing, backend utilities, application integration, or AI orchestration.
  • Experience integrating backend applications with AI/ML models, inference APIs, NLP or predictive services, recommendation services, or intelligent automation.
  • Strong automated-testing capability across unit, integration, API, contract, performance, and resilience testing.
  • Experience with Git, Maven or Gradle, CI/CD pipelines, release processes, automated deployments, secure coding, monitoring, debugging, performance tuning, and production support.
  • Proven ability to conduct design and code reviews, mentor developers, solve complex technical problems independently, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and pair programming skills.
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and collaboration platforms like Slack.
