📍 Location: Bengaluru | 🕒 Full-Time | 📈 5+ Years

At @Mitigata, you'll take a problem that's still fuzzy, decide how it should be built, build the hard parts yourself, and stay accountable for it in production. This is hands-on senior work — you'll write code most weeks, review plenty more, and make the calls that stop us shipping something we regret in six months.

About the role:

You'll own a subsystem end to end — design, build, ship, monitor, and keep it healthy. You'll write production Java/Python services against MongoDB and AWS, model data properly (schema, indexing, query performance under real load), plan the unglamorous parts (testing, monitoring, alerting, rollout, rollback), lead incident investigations in your area, own the security posture of what you build, and mentor L2/L3 engineers.

What we're looking for:

🔹 5+ years building & running production software, with real ownership of a non-trivial system

🔹 Strong in Java or Python (comfortable in the other)

🔹 Real MongoDB depth — schema design, indexes, aggregation, debugging slow queries

🔹 Working knowledge of AWS — compute, networking, storage, and cost

🔹 A track record of designing systems, not just implementing them

🔹 Secure coding as a habit — input validation, authz, secret handling, dependency hygiene

🔹 Clear written communication — turn a fuzzy goal into a plan others can act on

Nice to have:

🔸 Background in cybersecurity, compliance, or GRC tooling

🔸 Data pipelines, CDC, or event-driven architectures

🔸 Built products for Indian SMB / enterprise customers

🔸 Mentored engineers or run a team's technical direction
