Academic Content & EdTech Specialist – Maths, Science & Entrance Exams

We are looking for a highly capable and creative Academic Content & EdTech Specialist with a strong academic background in Mathematics and Science up to Class 12 level, along with an understanding of the skills and aptitude required for different college entrance and competitive examinations.

The primary responsibility of this role will be to research, develop and manage high-quality academic content, question banks, mock tests, exam-preparation material and educational videos.

The person will also contribute to developing new educational products and learning experiences using AI and modern EdTech tools.

Teaching may not be a regular responsibility, primarily for explaining concepts, testing content, conducting selected sessions or understanding student learning requirements.

Key Responsibilities1. Academic Content Development

• Research and develop high-quality academic content for school students and college entrance-exam aspirants.
• Create:
• Concept notes
• Study material
• Practice exercises
• MCQs
• Numerical problems
• Assignments
• Mock tests
• Revision material
• Detailed solutions and explanations
• Convert complex academic concepts into simple, structured and student-friendly learning material.
• Review and improve existing educational content for accuracy, clarity and effectiveness.
• Organize content systematically by subject, topic, difficulty level and examination.2. Entrance Exam & Test-Preparation ContentResearch and develop content based on the requirements of different college entrance examinations, including areas such as:
• Mathematics
• Quantitative Aptitude
• Logical & Analytical Reasoning
• Data Interpretation
• Verbal Ability & English
• Science
• Critical Thinking
• Problem Solving
• General AptitudeThe candidate should be able to understand different examination patterns and translate their requirements into structured preparation material and assessments.

Experience with examinations such as JEE, NEET, CUET, IPMAT, SAT, ACT, GRE, GMAT or similar examinations will be an advantage.

3. Question Bank & Assessment DevelopmentA major part of the role will involve creating and managing high-quality assessments.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing original questions and question banks.
• Creating MCQs, numerical questions, reasoning problems and application-based questions.
• Designing questions across different difficulty levels.
• Creating mock examinations and practice tests.
• Preparing answer keys and detailed explanations.
• Reviewing questions for accuracy, ambiguity, difficulty and relevance.
• Maintaining structured and reusable question databases.
• Using AI tools to assist with question generation, while ensuring human validation and academic accuracy.4. Educational Video & Content CreationDevelop engaging educational content in video and other digital formats.

This may include:

• Writing scripts for educational videos.
• Creating concept-explainer videos.
• Developing presentations and visual explanations.
• Creating short educational videos/reels for social media.
• Recording on-camera educational explanations where appropriate.
• Converting academic topics into engaging visual learning experiences.
• Using AI tools for scripting, presentations, graphics, animation, voice, video production and editing.The candidate should be comfortable presenting some content on camera.

5. AI-Powered Education & EdTechThe role will involve actively exploring how AI can improve academic content and student learning.

You will be expected to experiment with tools for:

• AI-assisted content creation
• Question and assessment generation

• Automated feedback
• AI-based academic counselling and guidanceAn interest in AI, EdTech and the future of education is highly desirable.

6. Academic Research & Product Development

• Research new examination patterns, syllabi and assessment methodologies.
• Monitor changes in college entrance examinations and academic requirements.
• Research international and Indian education trends.
• Help identify new educational products, courses and test-preparation opportunities.
• Contribute ideas for improving the platform's academic offerings.
• Work with the technology and product team to convert academic concepts into digital learning products.7. Occasional Teaching & Student InteractionTeaching is not the primary responsibility of this position.

However, the candidate should be willing to occasionally:

• Conduct a class or concept session.
• Explain difficult topics to students.
• Conduct doubt-solving sessions.
• Interact with students to understand their learning difficulties.
• Test newly developed educational content.
• Participate in academic counselling or assessment discussions where required.Desired Qualifications
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Science, Engineering, Education or a related discipline.
• Strong command of Mathematics and/or Science up to Class 12 level.
• Good understanding of quantitative aptitude, reasoning and other entrance-exam skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong research, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent ability to explain and simplify complex concepts.
• Strong attention to detail and academic accuracy.

Teaching and student interaction will be part of the role, but content creation, academic development and assessment design will be the primary focus.
