Role Description The Junior AI Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru South. This role involves assisting in the design, development, and deployment of AI models that support dental imaging analysis, treatment planning, and claims management workflows. Day-to-day tasks include data preprocessing, model training and evaluation, basic algorithm implementation, and collaboration with senior engineers and product teams to translate clinical and business requirements into technical solutions. The Junior AI Engineer will contribute to building and refining the AI assistant, integrating models into production systems, documenting workflows, and participating in code reviews. The role also includes working closely with radiologists, diagnostic center teams, and internal stakeholders to validate AI outputs and continuously improve system performance.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in programming and software development, preferably with experience in languages such as Python and familiarity with version control tools.
- Knowledge of core AI and machine learning concepts, including supervised and unsupervised learning, model evaluation, and hands-on exposure to ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
- Experience or coursework in data handling and analysis, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, and working with structured and unstructured datasets.
- Understanding of basic computer vision techniques or interest in working with medical imaging data (2D and 3D scans) is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, communicate technical ideas clearly, and incorporate feedback from clinical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field; relevant projects, internships, or research work are a plus.
- Interest in healthcare technology and willingness to learn about dental diagnostics, treatment planning, and insurance workflows. <
