Job Profile: Poseidon Oracle Developer

Location: Mumbai, India

Preferred experience: - 7.1-9 years

The Role:

The Poseidon Oracle Developer will be responsible for the development, enhancement and maintenance of the POSEIDON application.

The role is part of the ISPL-based PMLS IT Development team and involves end-to-end Oracle development, application enhancements, performance optimization, production support and technical mentoring. The candidate will also contribute to application design and strategic development initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and lead the team of developers while contributing individually to BAU activities.
• Develop, enhance and maintain the POSEIDON application as assigned.
• Contribute to and propose changes to application design.
• Perform end-to-end development using Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
• Develop and optimize stored procedures and SQL queries.
• Analyze and improve database and application performance.
• Work on large databases where performance and scalability are critical.
• Provide L2/L3 production support, including weekend support on a rotational basis.
• Train and mentor junior developers within the team.
• Organize periodic knowledge-sharing and training sessions for IT Development and APS teams.
• Contribute to strategic application development initiatives as directed by the Team Lead.
• Collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders.

Must - Have Qualifications:

• 5–7 years of relevant experience in Oracle development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
• Experience with Oracle 12c or above.
• Strong end-to-end Oracle database development experience.
• Expertise in writing and optimizing Stored Procedures.
• Strong experience in SQL Query Performance Tuning and Optimization.
• Hands-on experience with Python.
• Experience working with large databases where performance is a key consideration.
• Hands-on experience with Git / Bitbucket.
• Experience in application performance optimization.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD).
• Exposure to DevOps practices and tools.
