Operating as an agile fintech startup within our modern tech hubs in Chennai and Pune, our engineering team is creating high-availability, cloud-native financial solutions using modern architectures, AI-driven automation, and slick user-centric web applications.

We are looking for a visionary Frontend Engineer who thrives in greenfield environments, cares deeply about UI/UX performance, and is excited to craft high-scale digital banking platforms.

The Opportunity & Team Culture

You will join a cross-functional, product-focused team of Product Managers, Backend Engineers, Frontend Engineers, QA Engineers, and SREs working closely together in an agile, low-friction culture. You will have a direct hand in shaping the frontend architecture, performance standards, and user experiences for embedded financial products leveraging Mambu cloud banking infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

The team consists of cross-functional members Product Managers, Backend Engineers, Frontend Engineers, QA Engineers, and SRE working together with tight communication throughout the development process.

Responsibilities and duties

As a Software Engineer in the Application Development Team, you will leverage Mambu, a leading cloud banking platform for neobanks and challenger banks, to build one of the most reliable and agile banking systems in the industry. Our goal is to shape the future of digital banking in Japan, making it more accessible and user-friendly than ever before.

• Architect, develop, and maintain high-performance, accessible, and responsive web applications using TypeScript, React, and modern UI toolkits (Shadcn, Tailwind CSS, TanStack).
• Partner with Product Managers, UX Designers, and Backend Engineers to translate complex banking domain workflows (CLM, loans, transactional channels) into seamless frontend experiences.
• Drive UI architecture, design systems, state management, and web performance optimization for mission-critical fintech applications.
• Champion integrates testing at different layers like unit , storybook and playwright testing and non-functional quality standards (web security, accessibility,WCAG, Core Web Vitals) within modern CI/CD pipelines.
• Integrate GenAI tools and workflows (Copilot, Claude Code, ChatGPT) to boost developer productivity and streamline operational processes.
• Lead sprint execution as a technical mentor and Scrum contributor, taking end-to-end ownership across the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

Required skills and experience

We are looking for self-driven engineers with strong problem-solving capabilities and experience in building enterprise-grade frontend systems.

• 4+ years of professional experience building scalable web applications with React and TypeScript.
• Solid proficiency with state management libraries, asynchronous API integration (REST/GraphQL), and modern CSS frameworks (Shadcn UI/Material UI, Tailwind, or styled-components).
• Strong understanding of web security fundamentals (OAuth2, OIDC, XSS, CSRF) and performance tuning.
• Experience with frontend testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright)).
• Practical experience with Git, CI/CD automation pipelines, and containerized deployments (Docker).
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred skills and experience

• Prior exposure to fintech, banking, payment gateways, or SaaS products in high-growth environments.
• Familiarity with server-side technologies or BFF architectures ( Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot).
• Hands-on experience leveraging AI tools (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, ChatGPT) for development workflows.
• Experience with modern cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and micro-frontend architectures.
