Senior Product Manager
Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and strategic Senior Product Manager to join our Product Solutions team and take ownership of the strategy, roadmap, development, and continuous evolution of key digital products and technology solutions.
The Senior Product Manager will operate at the intersection of business, technology, customer experience, and product strategy, translating complex business challenges into scalable, innovative, and high-impact products and solutions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of managing products through the end-to-end product lifecycle, from product vision and strategy through discovery, requirements definition, development, implementation, adoption, optimization, and continuous improvement.
Strong insurance industry experience is highly preferred. Candidates who have worked on insurance products, platforms, core insurance systems, digital insurance solutions, or large-scale insurance technology implementations will be strongly considered.
This role requires an individual who can operate independently, influence senior stakeholders, make strategic product decisions, lead cross-functional teams, and drive measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy, Vision & Roadmap
- Define and own the product vision, strategy, objectives, and multi-year roadmap in alignment with business strategy and organizational priorities.
- Translate business strategy and market opportunities into a clear and actionable product strategy.
- Identify and evaluate opportunities for new products, capabilities, features, and enhancements.
- Establish product priorities based on business value, customer impact, market opportunity, technical feasibility, cost, risk, and time-to-market.
- Define product goals, success criteria, KPIs, and measurable business outcomes.
- Develop business cases and recommendations for strategic product investments.
- Continuously assess and evolve the product roadmap based on market conditions, customer needs, business priorities, and product performance.
- Serve as the product champion and subject-matter leader across the organization.Product Discovery & Requirements
- Lead product discovery initiatives to understand customer, business, operational, and technology challenges.
- Partner with senior business stakeholders, customers, subject-matter experts, and users to identify unmet needs and opportunities.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, journey mapping, process analysis, and product discovery sessions.
- Translate complex business requirements into product requirements, epics, user stories, use cases, acceptance criteria, functional specifications, and product documentation.
- Challenge existing processes and identify opportunities for automation, optimization, digitization, and transformation.
- Establish clear requirements and ensure alignment across business and technology teams.
- Identify dependencies, risks, assumptions, and constraints early in the product lifecycle.Insurance Domain & Product Leadership
- Provide strong product leadership across insurance business processes, products, workflows, and customer journeys.
- Develop a deep understanding of insurance products, operational models, distribution channels, policy lifecycles, claims, underwriting, billing, servicing, and related business processes.
- Partner with insurance business stakeholders to define and enhance technology-enabled insurance products and solutions.
- Lead product initiatives involving insurance platforms, enterprise applications, digital channels, and technology implementations.
- Translate insurance business requirements into scalable and customer-centric technology solutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve insurance product capabilities, operational efficiency, customer experience, automation, and digital engagement.
- Stay current with evolving insurance industry trends, regulations, technology developments, and customer expectations.Product Development & Delivery
- Own product delivery from concept through implementation and ongoing optimization.
- Partner closely with engineering, architecture, UX/UI, QA, data, security, and other technology teams.
- Provide product direction and ensure technology solutions remain aligned with product strategy and business objectives.
- Participate in architecture, solution, and design discussions and provide product-level decisions where required.
- Manage product delivery priorities, milestones, dependencies, risks, and business expectations.
- Remove product-related impediments and facilitate timely decision-making.
- Lead and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), release planning, implementation, and production readiness.
- Ensure products are delivered with the appropriate levels of quality, security, scalability, usability, and reliability.
- Drive successful adoption and rollout of new product capabilities.Product Performance, Analytics & Optimization
- Define and own product KPIs, OKRs, performance metrics, and business outcomes.
- Monitor product adoption, customer behavior, operational performance, revenue impact, cost optimization, and other relevant metrics.
- Use data, analytics, customer feedback, and market insights to drive product decisions.
- Identify opportunities to improve product performance, usability, adoption, and business value.
- Establish feedback loops and continuously refine the product based on measurable outcomes.
- Lead experimentation and continuous improvement initiatives where appropriate.Senior Stakeholder & Executive Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior business leaders, executives, customers, technology leaders, and key stakeholders.
- Communicate product vision, strategy, roadmap, priorities, progress, risks, and business outcomes to executive and senior leadership audiences.
- Facilitate strategic discussions and drive alignment across business and technology organizations.
- Influence stakeholders and make difficult prioritization decisions when required.
- Manage competing priorities, expectations, dependencies, and organizational constraints.
- Act as a trusted product advisor to senior business and technology leadership.Cross-Functional Leadership
- Lead and influence cross-functional product teams across business, engineering, architecture, design, QA, data, security, operations, marketing, and other functions.
- Establish clarity around product objectives, priorities, roles, and expected outcomes.
- Foster a collaborative and outcome-oriented product culture.
- Mentor and provide guidance to Product Managers, Business Analysts, and other product team members where appropriate.Market, Competitive & Industry Analysis
- Monitor insurance industry trends, competitive developments, emerging technologies, regulatory changes, and evolving customer expectations.
- Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify new product opportunities and areas for differentiation.
- Evaluate emerging technologies such as AI, automation, analytics, cloud, and digital platforms for potential product applications.
- Incorporate market intelligence and customer insights into product strategy and roadmap decisions.Product Governance & Risk Management
- Establish and maintain appropriate product governance, processes, documentation, and decision-making frameworks.
- Identify and proactively manage product risks, dependencies, compliance considerations, and operational impacts.
- Partner with security, legal, compliance, architecture, and risk teams where required.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- MBA or equivalent business qualification is preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Strategy, or related roles.
- Significant experience owning and managing products through the end-to-end product lifecycle.
- Strong insurance industry experience is highly preferred, particularly experience with insurance products, platforms, systems, implementations, or digital insurance solutions.
- Demonstrated experience defining product strategy, vision, roadmap, priorities, and measurable outcomes.
- Proven experience translating complex business problems into scalable technology products and solutions.
- Experience working with enterprise-scale products and technology platforms.
- Strong understanding of product discovery, requirements management, Agile development, and product delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior executives and business/technology leadership.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and influencing skills.
- Ability to understand complex technical concepts and collaborate effectively with engineering, architecture, data, and technology teams.
- Strong experience managing cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
