About The Company
CrowdStrike is a global leader in cybersecurity, protecting the people, processes, and technologies that power modern organizations. Since 2011, our mission has been to stop breaches. Our AI-native platform helps customers across industries protect their businesses, communities, and the people who depend on them. CrowdStrike’s cloud ecosystem processes nearly three trillion events each day, with volumes continuing to grow. We are a mission-driven company that encourages flexibility, autonomy, responsible AI adoption, experimentation, and innovation. Our teams bring a relentless focus to customer outcomes and work together to make a meaningful impact on cybersecurity.
About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer with at least 10 years of production engineering experience to join our Falcon Exposure Management (FEM) team. In this role, you will design and develop scalable backend services, data pipelines, and assessment capabilities that help organizations discover, assess, and manage exposure and risk. You will contribute to a globally distributed, fault-tolerant cloud environment, turning high-volume data into clear, actionable insights. You will own technical work from initial design through production deployment and collaborate with colleagues across engineering and other teams to deliver integrated solutions.
Responsibilities
Design, build, and maintain backend services, REST APIs, and microservices that support exposure management and assessment features. Research and develop assessment content and logic that evaluates organizational exposure against industry standards, and map that content to relevant compliance frameworks. Respond to customer escalations by investigating assessment findings and helping identify effective resolutions. Develop data pipelines and ETL processes to ingest, normalize, and correlate information at scale, integrating assessment logic with multiple data sources and third-party providers. Design suitable database and caching solutions across relational SQL systems, NoSQL and distributed data stores. Troubleshoot complex distributed architectures, resolve performance bottlenecks, and improve reliability. Apply sound engineering practices, including testing, code reviews, and resilient system design. Contribute to technical decisions, share influential insights across teams, and use AI technologies and large language models to improve workflows and engineering efficiency.
Qualifications
Required qualifications include 10 or more years of experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems, along with advanced programming skills in an object-oriented language such as Go, Python, or Java. You have demonstrated experience designing microservices, scalable REST APIs, and distributed communication patterns, and are familiar with cloud infrastructure, containers, and/or Kubernetes. You understand concurrency, parallel processing, scalability, and message queues such as Kafka. You can work across relational databases, distributed data stores, and caching systems, and bring strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, algorithm, and data-structure skills. A bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent professional experience, is expected. You have used AI technologies to support decision-making and streamline work, can research authoritative security configuration guidance, and communicate complex concepts clearly. You work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
Additional experience with Go, Cassandra, Kafka, Elasticsearch, or Redis is valuable, as is a background in cybersecurity, vulnerability management, compliance, large-scale data platforms, distributed ETL, machine learning, AI implementation, or LLM and agentic workflows.
