Lead II - ML Engineering

Role Description

Role: Solution Lead AI Role overview UST is looking for a Solution Lead with applied AI experience to independently drive AI-enabled solutioning across client engagements. This role calls for strong executive presence, the judgment to operate with minimal oversight, and the ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics on both the UST and client side without friction. Exposure to the US healthcare industry is a strong plus. Key responsibilities

• Own end-to-end solutioning for applied AI engagements, from problem framing and opportunity identification through solution design and delivery oversight, with minimal supervision.
• Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for senior leadership, building and sustaining relationships with CxO and VP level stakeholders on both the UST and client side.
• Translate ambiguous business problems into practical, AI enabled solution architectures, in partnership with engineering, data science, and delivery teams.
• Read organizational dynamics and stakeholder priorities accurately, and navigate them to build consensus, unblock decisions, and keep engagements moving without friction.
• Identify and shape new opportunities within existing accounts, working closely with account and sales leadership.
• Represent UST in client governance forums, steering committees, and executive business reviews.
• Guide and mentor extended delivery teams, ensuring the quality, credibility, and business relevance of AI solutions delivered. Required qualifications
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• Significant experience in technology consulting or solution leadership roles, with a demonstrated track record of applied AI/ML solutioning (for example GenAI, NLP, predictive analytics, or intelligent automation).
• In-depth understanding of AI based reference architecture to drive efficient solutions
• Proven ability to work independently and own outcomes, with minimal need for oversight or direction.
• Strong executive presence and communication skills, with experience engaging, influencing, and presenting to senior leadership on both the client and own-organization side.
• High organizational and business acumen – able to read the corporate landscape, understand stakeholder motivations, and navigate politics and competing priorities smoothly.
• Comfortable operating in ambiguity and translating loosely defined business needs into structured, actionable solutions.
• Exposure to the US healthcare industry (Health plan domain).
• Hands-on familiarity with cloud AI/ML platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and modern GenAI/LLM frameworks.
• Prior experience in a client-facing solution leadership role within an IT services or consulting environment.
