Role Description

The Full Stack Software Developer will design, develop, test, and maintain web applications and backend services for robotics and IoT products. Day-to-day responsibilities include building backend applications using Java and Spring Boot, developing Python-based services and automation tools, creating responsive dashboards, and implementing REST APIs that connect hardware devices, applications, and cloud platforms. The developer will manage database integration, authentication, user management, and role-based access control while ensuring application performance, security, and scalability.

The role also involves integrating IoT and embedded devices with backend systems, developing user interfaces using React or a similar JavaScript framework, deploying applications on Linux or cloud environments, maintaining code through Git, and troubleshooting application issues. The developer will work closely with hardware, firmware, robotics, and product teams throughout the development process. This is a full-time, junior-level role based in Chennai.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Python and Java for application and backend development.
• Working knowledge of Java Spring Boot and REST API development.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with React or another modern front-end framework.
• Understanding of SQL and database fundamentals.
• Experience integrating front-end applications with backend services and APIs.
• Familiarity with authentication, user management, and role-based access control.
• Basic knowledge of Linux environments and application deployment.
• Experience using Git and standard version-control workflows.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and properly documented code.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate with hardware, firmware, robotics, and software teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Fresh graduates and candidates with up to two years of experience are encouraged to apply, especially those with strong academic, internship, open-source, or personal projects.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Docker and containerized applications.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Understanding of MQTT and WebSockets.
• Exposure to Redis and Node.js.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience developing IoT dashboards or device-management applications.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
• Previous experience integrating software with embedded systems, robotics platforms, or IoT devices.
