Product Advisor — School Operations

About The Role

About Micron ERP Micron ERP is building school management software for private schools across Punjab and India — helping principals, teachers, and admins run their institutions digitally. We are an early-stage EdTech startup, and we believe the best products are built with real input from the people who will use them every day. We are looking for an experienced school Principal, Vice Principal, or senior School Administrator to join us as a part-time Product Advisor. You will not be writing code or managing a team — you will be our voice of the school, helping us build a product that real principals and school staff will actually want to use. This role involves approximately 20–30 hours per month, structured as 2–4 scheduled meetings with the founding and product team, plus flexible time for reviewing features and providing feedback asynchronously. If you have spent years running a school — managing admissions, attendance, fees, exams, staff, and parent communication — you understand problems that no outsider can fully grasp from the outside. We want your experience to directly shape what we build. Product Feedback & Validation

• Review new features before launch and tell us honestly whether a real school would use them
• Share what daily challenges principals and school staff actually face — attendance, fees, exams, communication, compliance
• Help us prioritise what to build next based on what genuinely matters to schools
• Flag features that look good on paper but would not survive real classroom or office use Onboarding & Training Insight
• Advise on how school staff typically resist or adapt to new software
• Help us design a simpler, more intuitive onboarding experience for non-technical school staff
• Review training materials and suggest changes based on how real teachers and admins learn Sales & Demo Support
• Occasionally join high-value demo calls with prospective schools as a credible, experienced voice
• Help our sales team understand what objections principals typically raise and how to address them
• Share real school language and terminology to make our sales pitches more authentic Content & Case Studies
• Help translate technical features into language that resonates with school decision-makers
• Contribute insights for case studies and success stories from onboarded schools
• Review marketing content aimed at school principals for authenticity and accuracy What We Offer

Requirements

What We Are Looking For

• Minimum 8–10 years of experience as a School Principal, Vice Principal, or senior School Administrator
• Hands-on experience managing school operations — admissions, attendance, fees, exams, staff coordination
• Based in Punjab — Mohali, Chandigarh, or nearby preferred, with occasional availability to visit our office
• Comfortable using smartphones and basic software — no coding knowledge required
• Strong communication skills in English, Hindi, and Punjabi
• Genuine interest in how technology can improve school operations
• Currently active, recently retired, or working part-time in education — all considered
• Comfortable giving honest, direct feedback — we need real opinions, not polite agreement
