Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Full Stack Engineer with strong experience in the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js) to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable web applications. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience building responsive front-end interfaces, developing robust backend APIs, integrating databases, and delivering high-quality software solutions.
The candidate will collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, QA engineers, and other developers to deliver reliable, secure, and user-friendly applications.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, and Node.js.
Build responsive, reusable, and high-performance user interfaces using React.js, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend services using Node.js and Express.js.
Design database schemas, write optimized queries, and manage data using MongoDB.
Implement authentication, authorization, role-based access control, and application security best practices.
Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and external services as required.
Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-documented code.
Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
Write unit and integration tests and participate in code reviews.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Use Git-based version control and participate in CI/CD and deployment processes.
Monitor application performance and contribute to continuous improvement.
Required Technical Skills
Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and preferably TypeScript.
Hands-on experience with React.js, including hooks, component lifecycle concepts, state management, and reusable components.
Strong experience with Node.js and Express.js for backend development.
Practical experience with MongoDB, schema design, indexing, aggregation, and query optimization.
Experience designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs.
Understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and modern UI development.
Familiarity with state management libraries such as Redux Toolkit, Zustand, or Context API.
Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
Knowledge of authentication mechanisms such as JWT, OAuth 2.0, and session-based authentication.
Understanding of web security, performance optimization, and error handling.
Experience writing automated tests using tools such as Jest, Vitest, React Testing Library, or Supertest.
Preferred Skills
Experience with TypeScript across frontend and backend applications.
Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Experience with Docker and containerized application deployment.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
Familiarity with Redis, caching strategies, and background job processing.
Experience with WebSockets or real-time application development.
Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems.
Familiarity with Next.js and server-side rendering.
Experience with monitoring, logging, and application observability.
Knowledge of Agile development practices and project management tools such as Jira.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
3–5 years of professional software development experience, preferably in full-stack web development.
Demonstrated experience delivering production-ready web applications using the MERN stack.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
