About Company -
We've built India's first truly agentic AI that negotiates with banks, fixes credit reports, and saves
people real money — all autonomously. Our AI agent Dhruva doesn't just give advice; it stands for our users at each step and gets the job done with lenders, banks, and credit bureaus. 10M+ Indians trust us with their credit futures every month, and we've processed ₹250+ Cr in loan and overdue repayments in the last 12 months — with an engineering team of twenty.
What You'll Do
- Build and ship real backend systems: write Java and/or Python services that power live money moving flows — repayment negotiations, credit actions, user financial state — used by 1M+ users a month.
- Own correctness, not just features: handle idempotency, retries, and concurrency correctly on anything that touches money. A duplicate charge or a lost update is a bug you catch, not one a user reports.
- Work directly in PostgreSQL and Redis: write efficient queries, reasonable schema changes, and use caching sensibly — you'll get guidance on the hard migrations, but you should be comfortable in the database, not just behind an ORM.
- Debug production issues methodically: when something breaks, you read logs, metrics, and traces before you guess. You'll pair with senior engineers on the harder incidents and own the smaller ones end to end.
- Write APIs other services and the Dhruva agent layer can rely on: clear contracts, sensible error handling, and backward compatibility in mind.
- Grow fast: this is a twenty-person engineering team building foundational systems — you'll get real ownership early, and direct mentorship from the backend and platform leads.
You're a Good Fit If
- 2–5 years of experience building backend services in Java, Python, or a comparable language, with real production exposure
- Solid fundamentals in databases (SQL, indexing, basic query performance) and comfortable working with PostgreSQL
- You understand what a race condition is and why it matters — bonus if you've fixed one in production
- You can read logs and metrics to debug an issue rather than guessing and restarting
- You care about writing code that's correct under concurrency and failure, not just code that works on the happy path
- You're comfortable in a startup pace — ambiguity, fast iteration, and direct ownership rather than a fully defined spec
- Fintech, payments, or other regulated-domain exposure is a plus, not a requirement Tech Stack
- What you'll work in: Java, Python 3.11+, PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS (EC2, RDS, ElastiCache)
- What you'll learn here: idempotent transaction design, observability practices, zero-downtime migrations, and how a fintech-grade backend is actually built.
