SQL Developer (Microsoft SQL Server) – Remote, India or Sri Lanka

Netlogic Consultancy & Services Ltd is a UK-based cyber security and compliance consultancy, established in 2017 and headquartered in London. We support clients across information security, compliance (including ISO 27001, PCI DSS and Cyber Essentials), security testing and managed services.

We are looking for an experienced SQL Developer to join our delivery team on a long-term remote basis (2–3 years). You will design, build and support Microsoft SQL Server databases, ETL processes and reports for our clients, working closely with our UK team.

What you will do

• Design, develop and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases, including tables, views, functions and indexes
• Write and optimise complex T-SQL queries and stored procedures
• Build and support ETL packages in SSIS, moving and transforming data between systems
• Develop and maintain reports in SSRS
• Investigate and resolve performance problems, using execution plans and indexing strategies
• Support data migrations, schema changes and releases, with clear documentation
• Work with UK colleagues and clients to understand requirements and explain technical matters clearly
• Follow secure development and data-handling practices appropriate to a security consultancyEssential
• Proven commercial experience developing on Microsoft SQL Server
• Strong T-SQL skills, including stored procedures, functions, joins, CTEs and window functions
• Hands-on experience with SSIS and SSRS
• Experience of query tuning and performance troubleshooting
• Good written and spoken English, and confidence working with UK-based colleagues and clients
• Able to work UK business hours (currently 1:30 pm to 10:00 pm IST / Sri Lanka time)Desirable
• SQL Server administration (backups, restores, security, permissions and maintenance plans)
• Secure coding practice, such as avoiding SQL injection, least-privilege access and handling sensitive data
• Database testing and source control (Git, Azure DevOps)
• Experience with Azure SQL or Power BI
