The Lead Business Analyst – Lending Products is the senior business analysis resource for EDB’s
lending change agenda. The primary accountability of the role is to elicit, analyse and author
Business Requirements Documents for lending initiatives, and to confirm those documents with the
business until they are formally approved. The role is an onsite, full-time engagement held across
the year and is not tied to a single project: the incumbent picks up the Bank’s lending-related
initiatives as they arise.
(Phase 1), which delivers a single bilingual digital front door through which Micro / mSME, Mid
Corporate and Large Corporate prospects submit their details and documents. The platform
segments each lead from declared turnover and routes it to the appropriate segment workflow:
qualified Micro / mSME cases pass to the partner Fintechs, while Mid Corporate and Large
Corporate cases produce the Bank’s credit artifacts and progress through decisioning into
documentation, limit setup and booking. The incumbent works alongside that programme from
design through to Go-Live, and is available in parallel to other lending initiatives as directed.
Beyond authoring requirements, the incumbent supplies the product content that Functional
- Write requirements that can actually be built and tested: each one atomic, unambiguous,
traceable to a business objective, and accompanied by a stated expected outcome. Avoid
requirements that describe an intention without defining the behaviour.
- Specify the exception and boundary behaviour explicitly alongside the happy path – missing or
invalid input, duplicate records, records that already exist, maker and checker conflicts,
concurrency, external system unavailability and service-level breach – so that design does not
have to guess.
