Role overview

Syngrid is seeking an experienced, technically grounded project and delivery leader to manage software product development and client implementations from our Madurai office, working closely with Singapore-based management and clients. The initial focus is construction-sector business applications.

You will personally prepare client presentations, conduct product demonstrations, clarify requirements and lead delivery from agreed scope through development, user acceptance testing (UAT), training, go-live and support handover. This is a hands-on software-delivery role, not a purely administrative project-coordination role or a sales / BDM position.

Key responsibilities

Client engagement, presentations and demonstrations

Conduct requirements workshops and understand client workflows. Personally prepare client-ready slide decks, solution summaries and product demonstrations. Explain capabilities, limitations, timelines and implementation approaches clearly to business users and decision-makers. Support the sales team in solution discussions without making unapproved scope or delivery commitments.

End-to-end project and implementation ownership

Define scope, deliverables, acceptance criteria, estimates, schedules, budgets and resource needs. Coordinate design, development, integration, testing, data preparation or migration where required, training, deployment and post-go-live stabilisation. Maintain ownership through formal client acceptance and transition to support.

Product engineering and team leadership

Lead multidisciplinary teams covering business analysis, design, web and mobile development, quality assurance, DevOps and support. Convert requirements into clear tasks with accountable owners. Resolve delivery blockers, coordinate dependencies, mentor team members and manage capacity and utilisation across concurrent workstreams.

Delivery governance, cost control and reporting

Maintain baseline plans, milestone trackers, risk and issue registers, decision logs and change requests. Compare actual progress with commitments, identify slippage early and propose recovery actions. Provide clear management and client updates on schedule, quality, cost, resources and decisions required.

Quality, client acceptance and operational readiness

Coordinate internal testing and UAT, track defects and confirm retesting. Distinguish approval of scope from acceptance of delivered functionality. Obtain documented approvals supported by evidence. Ensure training materials, user documentation, deployment readiness and support arrangements are in place.

Reusable products and continuous improvement

Work with technical leadership to develop reusable modules and configurable software products. Coordinate product feedback, prioritisation and release planning. Collaborate with marketing and sales on accurate product materials and demonstrations, and improve delivery practices, templates and team capabilities.

Required experience and capabilities

Software delivery background

15+ years of overall software / IT experience, including at least 5 years in project, programme or delivery management. Experience should include increasing responsibility from software engineering or technical leadership into client-facing delivery management, with demonstrable ownership of enterprise application or software product delivery.

Hands-on client communication

Proven ability to personally prepare presentations, run software demonstrations, gather requirements and manage client expectations. Strong spoken and written English, including clear meeting minutes, proposals, status reports and escalation messages. Experience engaging directly with international clients.

Implementation and governance

Evidence of taking software projects through requirements, development, testing, client acceptance, deployment and handover. Practical experience in scope control, estimation, risk management, release planning, resource allocation and budget tracking. Ability to manage multiple workstreams while remaining involved in day-to-day delivery.

Technical understanding

Sound understanding of the software development lifecycle, Agile and Waterfall approaches, web and mobile applications, databases, APIs, integration, cloud deployment and DevOps practices. Ability to discuss designs and technical risks with engineers. Daily coding is not the primary responsibility, but a genuine software-development or technical-lead background is important.

Leadership, qualifications and work location

Experience leading cross-functional software teams, setting clear accountability and developing team capability. A degree in engineering, computer science, information technology or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience. Willingness to work from the Madurai office and coordinate with Singapore-based management and clients.

Preferred qualifications and exposure

PMP certification; experience in product engineering, delivery governance, continuous improvement and customer success; familiarity with cloud-native applications, microservices and modern release practices; and experience working with Singapore or other overseas clients.

Construction-industry software, ERP or operational workflows such as procurement, logistics, inventory, dormitory operations or safety management would be an advantage. Construction-domain experience is preferred, not mandatory; candidates must be able to learn and translate business processes into clear software requirements.
