The role
StanceBeam builds AI and computer-vision based solution for sports: smart bat sensor analytics, multi-camera ball tracking, shot and delivery recognition and automated decision-review technology. We license these IPs to sports organisations worldwide and customise it into their platforms and operations under long-term enterprise contracts.
You will run delivery for these engagements: plan, scope, change control, release and the client relationship. The scope covers iOS/Android and tablet apps, web admin portals, backend and integrations (hardware, access control, payments, analytics), and the firmware, calibration and AI model updates underneath. You work directly with the founders and the client.
Responsibilities
- Day-to-day client contact for product and operations teams; run weekly working sessions, demos and release walkthroughs.
- Own the delivery plan and backlog sequencing against set priorities
- Assess change requests for scope, effort and timeline; escalate commercial or contractual impact.
- Plan around hardware lead times and model release cycles (data, validation, staged rollout); set client expectations on accuracy and limits.
- Run Agile sprint planning, refinement and reviews with the Technical Lead and QA; maintain written acceptance criteria.
- Coordinate client UAT; triage findings and drive the fix list to closure.
- Own release readiness: release notes, environment checks, sign-off, go/no-go.
- Produce SOPs, admin playbooks, training and support documentation for each launch.
- Keep decisions, status and risks in writing; flag slips before they happen.
Requirements
- 6 to 10 years in delivery, technical programme or product management with direct ownership of scope, plans and client commitments.
- Shipped at least one product combining software with hardware, sensors, IoT or devices in the field.
- Working understanding of AI/ML and computer vision as product components: model lifecycle, validation, accuracy ranges, drift.
- Has run client meetings and UAT independently; strong written English for cross-time-zone communication.
- Reads specs and API contracts; can challenge an estimate constructively.
- Agile delivery in practice; Jira or Azure Boards, Confluence, Figma, Postman.
- Regular overlap with US/UK/Australia clients; overseas travel a few times a year.
Preferred
- Engineering or CS degree, or prior technical role at start-ups.
- Delivered a product where an ML or vision model was part of the client deliverable.
- PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent; experience with clients in North America, UK, Australia or the Gulf.
- Interest in cricket or sports technology.
