Mariinox is a vehicle scrapping and recycling company operating through a network of authorised Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facilities (RVSFs). The company provides customers with a transparent, compliant and hassle-free vehicle scrapping process.

Role Overview :

We're building a scalable, high-performance CRM platform and need a backend-focused developer to own its core systems, APIs, and integrations.

You'll build robust backend services in Laravel and work closely with our frontend developers, who build in Next.js.

Core Responsibilities:

Backend Architecture & API's

• Design and develop scalable backend systems using Laravel.
• Build and maintain secure, high-performance REST APIs.
• Architect core CRM modules: Leads, Users, Assignment Engine, Reports, and Notifications.
• Implement authentication using JWT or Laravel Sanctum.

Performance & Data

• Optimize database queries and handle high-volume data (100,000+ records per day).
• Use queues, jobs, and caching to keep the system fast under load.
• Find and fix performance bottlenecks to improve reliability.

Frontend Collaboration

• Work with the Next.js team to integrate frontend screens with backend APIs.

Deployment & DevOps

• Handle deployments, server management, and CI/CD pipelines.

Required Skills & Background:

Must Have

• 2+ years of hands-on backend development experience.
• Strong expertise in PHP and Laravel.
• A solid understanding of MVC architecture.
• Experience designing and building REST APIs.
• Strong MySQL skills, including query optimization, indexing, and relationships.
• Basic understanding of Next.js or React, and experience integrating APIs with frontend applications.
• Version control with Git (GitHub or GitLab workflows).
• Comfort with Linux server basics and CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Caching with Redis.
• Laravel Queues and Workers.
• Cloud platforms such as AWS or DigitalOcean.
• Basic Docker knowledge.
• Experience building CRM or ERP systems.
• Real-time systems or WebSockets.
