Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Full-Stack Web Development

  • Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications using JavaScript, React.js, and Next.js.
  • Build reusable UI components and implement modern frontend architectures.
  • Develop RESTful APIs and integrate frontend applications with backend services.
  • Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-documented code.
  • Optimize applications for performance, scalability, accessibility, and usability.

Backend Development & Database Management

  • Develop and maintain backend services, business logic, and API integrations.
  • Work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
  • Design database schemas, write optimized SQL queries, and manage data relationships.
  • Apply DBMS concepts, indexing, transactions, normalization, and query optimization.
  • Implement secure authentication, authorization, and role-based access control.

Application Security

  • Follow secure coding practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Identify and address common application vulnerabilities, including SQL injection, cross-site scripting (XSS), and broken access control.
  • Implement input validation, secure session management, and appropriate data protection mechanisms.
  • Apply security best practices aligned with OWASP guidance.
  • Participate in code reviews, vulnerability assessments, and application security improvements.

System Integration & Performance

  • Integrate third-party APIs, external services, and internal systems.
  • Debug production issues and improve application reliability.
  • Optimize frontend rendering, API response times, and database performance.
  • Contribute to application deployment, environment configuration, and CI/CD workflows.
  • Work with Git-based version control and collaborative development workflows.

Collaboration & Engineering Practices

  • Collaborate with designers, developers, data engineers, and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and sprint planning.
  • Translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
  • Maintain technical documentation and contribute to engineering best practices.
  • Take ownership of assigned features from development through deployment and maintenance.

Required Skills

Technical Skills

  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and modern programming concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with React.js and Next.js.
  • Good understanding of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and modern UI development.
  • Strong understanding of DBMS concepts, SQL, database design, and query optimization.
  • Experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
  • Knowledge of backend development using Node.js and frameworks such as Express.js.
  • Understanding of authentication, authorization, JWT, sessions, and application security.
  • Familiarity with Git, GitHub, debugging, and code review practices.
  • Understanding of asynchronous programming, promises, and error handling.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with PostgreSQL or MySQL.
  • Familiarity with TypeScript.
  • Knowledge of Next.js App Router, server-side rendering, and server components.
  • Understanding of OWASP Top 10 and secure application development.
  • Familiarity with Redis, caching, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with Docker, Linux, Nginx, or cloud deployment environments.
  • Familiarity with AWS services and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of testing frameworks and automated testing.
  • Exposure to AI/ML integrations, data-intensive applications, or IoT platforms is an advantage.

Eligibility

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 0–2 years of experience, including relevant internships and practical projects.
  • Demonstrable experience building web applications or full-stack projects.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced engineering environment.
