Software Engineer (Full-Stack & AI)

About StackkStackk is an early-stage platform helping businesses discover suppliers, manufacturers, service providers and collaborators, connect with each other, and manage work through AI assistance.

Our vision combines business discovery, networking, product feedback, business intelligence and AI employees within one platform.

We have product planning, Figma designs and an early interface prototype. We’re looking for a hands-on Software Engineer to help turn this foundation into a secure, reliable product.

The roleYou will work directly with the founder to develop Stackk across frontend, backend, databases and AI integrations, starting with a focused pilot.

This is a development-focused role with meaningful input into technical decisions. You should be comfortable working through evolving requirements, recommending practical solutions and taking features through implementation, testing and release.

Responsibilities

  • Turn Figma designs into polished, responsive and accessible interfaces.
  • Review the existing prototype and recommend what to retain or improve.
  • Build backend services, APIs, databases, authentication and workspace permissions.
  • Develop business profiles, search, matching, enquiries, messaging, notifications and file handling.
  • Integrate AI workflows for research, recommendations, drafting and task execution, with appropriate user approvals.
  • Implement background tasks, progress updates, retries and usage tracking.
  • Develop subscription and payment integrations as requirements are finalized.
  • Help connect the animated office interface to real application activity.
  • Write tests, troubleshoot issues and support deployment, monitoring and maintenance.
  • Document your work and consider security, performance and operating costs throughout development.Requirements
  • Experience building and shipping full-stack applications.
  • Strong frontend and backend development skills.
  • Experience with relational databases, APIs and cloud deployment.
  • Understanding of authentication, permissions, data privacy and secure handling of business information.
  • Ability to translate Figma designs into usable interfaces.
  • Familiarity with automated testing, Git and debugging.
  • Clear communication, practical problem-solving and ownership of your work.Technical backgroundRelevant technologies include React or Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js or Python, and PostgreSQL.

Experience with AI/LLM APIs, real-time messaging, search, background jobs or payment integrations would be valuable.

The final technology stack is open to discussion. You do not need experience with every technology listed.
