Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a SAP Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) Consultant. The consultant will design, develop, and maintain custom ABAP programs and enhancements within SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments, including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms. Daily responsibilities include working with functional teams to understand business requirements, developing and testing ABAP solutions, troubleshooting issues, and optimizing performance. The role involves implementing and supporting customizations such as user exits, BAPIs, and IDocs to integrate SAP with other systems and meet client-specific needs. The consultant will participate in code reviews, documentation, and deployment activities, while providing ongoing support for production systems and collaborating with onshore and offshore teams.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in SAP ABAP development, including ALV Reports for custom reporting and data presentation.
• Hands-on expertise in enhancement techniques such as User Exits for client-specific customizations.
• Proficiency in integration technologies, including BAPI and IDoc, for building and maintaining interfaces with external and internal systems.
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts within SAP ABAP for modular and reusable solution design.
• Experience working in SAP ECC and S/4HANA environments on implementation, upgrade, and migration projects.
• Ability to analyze functional specifications, translate them into technical designs, and deliver high-quality, well-tested code.
• Good knowledge of performance optimization, debugging, and troubleshooting in SAP ABAP.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate in distributed, remote teams.
• Relevant academic background in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; SAP ABAP certifications are an advantage.
• Prior experience with ERP implementation or support projects and familiarity with AWS-based SAP hosting environments is beneficial.
