Your OpportunityAs an LLM Application Engineer on BeGig, you’ll work on freelance projects focused on designing, building, and deploying applications powered by Large Language Models (LLMs). You’ll help organizations turn AI capabilities into practical, production-ready products such as copilots, assistants, search experiences, and intelligent automation systems—without the constraints of a traditional full-time role.

What You’ll Do

• Design and develop LLM-powered applications and user experiences
• Integrate LLM APIs and open-source AI models into production systems
• Build AI copilots, assistants, chat interfaces, and intelligent workflows
• Develop RAG pipelines, retrieval systems, and knowledge-based applications
• Implement prompt engineering and context orchestration strategies
• Build APIs and backend services supporting AI functionality
• Optimize model performance, latency, reliability, and operational cost
• Implement evaluation, monitoring, and guardrails for AI outputs
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to launch AI solutions

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience building LLM-based applications and AI products
• Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript
• Experience with OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or open-source LLM ecosystems
• Familiarity with frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or similar tools
• Experience with vector databases, embeddings, and semantic retrieval systems
• Understanding of prompt engineering, RAG, evaluation, and AI reliability techniques
• Experience deploying cloud-based AI applications
• Strong experimentation and problem-solving mindset
• A self-driven freelancer who can independently build and scale AI solutions
