Designation : Multinational Manager & Senior Data Analyst

Location: Pune, India

Purpose Of The Role

This is a data analytics-focused leadership role with secondary people management responsibilities. The incumbent will primarily drive data quality initiatives, advanced analytics, dashboard development, and cross-functional collaboration across global teams — while also providing guidance and oversight to a lean team of analysts.

The role is ideal for a hands-on analytics leader who thrives in technical problem-solving and wants to shape data strategy at scale within a leading global insurer.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analytics & Quality Management -

  • Oversee the complete data lifecycle from creation/capture to processing and usage across booking and reporting systems
  • Track and validate data movement between booking tools and downstream reporting systems, identifying discrepancies
  • Develop and maintain data quality dashboards using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Power BI, and Grid reporting tools
  • Design and implement data quality rules within SQL-based data models
  • Act as primary escalation point for data errors, investigating root causes and driving resolution
  • Implement statistical tests and quality controls to ensure data integrity
  • Drive monthly financial reporting and performance commentary across multiple regions
  • Deliver comprehensive variance analyses (Forecast vs. Actual, Budget vs. Actual) with detailed commentary
  • Lead end-to-end forecasting and planning cycles in SAP Analytics Cloud
  • Build predictive models and advanced analytics solutions to support business decisions
  • Define data governance standards and ensure adherence across teams

Business & Stakeholder Engagement -

  • Collaborate with Regions and Global Functions (Operations, Finance, Technology, Underwriting, Actuarial)
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights
  • Ensure teams meet agreed SLAs and KPIs through data-driven performance monitoring
  • Produce executive-level presentations and management information reports
  • Manage client relationships and handle escalations professionally to resolution

Process Improvement & Digitalization -

  • Drive automation and digitalization initiatives to improve operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with technology teams to identify and implement automation opportunities
  • Lead Agile ceremonies – sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Document data quality issues, resolution steps, and lessons learned for institutional knowledge
  • Lead process transitions and organisation-wide improvement initiatives
  • Evaluate and recommend new analytics tools and technologies

People Management -

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to a lean team of data analysts
  • Conduct periodic performance reviews and set individual development goals
  • Support recruitment of specialist analytics talent as needed
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence
  • Deliver training on planning, reporting tools, and data quality processes
