About The Role

As a Senior Full-Stack Developer at Royal York Property Management, you will be responsible for architecting, scaling, and maintaining our core web platforms. You will play a vital role in managing complex backend ecosystems using Laravel and dynamic frontends with Vue.js, ensuring seamless integration with third-party APIs like Google Ads and Zoho. Your expertise will guide the development of secure, scalable, and fast-delivery features using AI-assisted coding workflows.

In your day-to-day, you'll write clean and maintainable backend code, develop reactive UI components, and manage API endpoints and webhooks. You will leverage AI tools to enhance development speed and maintain a robust architectural structure across projects. You will work closely with our technical leads, operating with high autonomy to design and execute high-level project requirements into functional systems.

Success in this role means delivering modular, scalable features rapidly, achieving zero critical downtime, and ensuring robust security implementations. You'll excel if you take a proactive approach to security, love clean architecture, and possess a flair for integrating AI workflows into traditional coding practices.

What you will do

• Architect and maintain core web portals and client applications using Laravel and Vue.js.
• Write clean, maintainable backend business logic in Laravel and develop reactive UI components in Vue.js.
• Design, test, and monitor external API endpoints, handle incoming and outgoing webhook payloads, and trace debug logs.
• Utilize AI coding assistants to rapidly prototype and refactor code, and write comprehensive test suites.
• Review code architecture, optimize database queries, and ensure security compliance across active projects.
• Deliver major feature sprints, verify webhook reliability, and perform code reviews.
• Conduct security audits, optimize API rate-usage tracking, and update technical documentation.
• Architect new multi-tenant modules, refactor legacy architecture, and troubleshoot complex production scaling bottlenecks.
• Achieve zero critical downtime in production and implement clean API error handling and robust security measures.
• Build and document robust, fault-tolerant API integrations with error recovery and rate-limit handling.
• Deliver scalable, secure, and modular features rapidly using modern AI-assisted development workflows.
• Difficulties arise when handling asynchronous event/APIs, ignoring security fundamentals, or relying on outdated development methods.
• Debug broken or delayed webhook payloads, manage API quota suspensions, and resolve security vulnerabilities under tight deadlines.

What we are looking for

• Minimum of 6 years of hands-on software development experience building production-grade web applications.
• Deep expertise in PHP and Laravel for backend development. Proficiency in frontend development with a strong grasp of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and familiarity with frameworks and libraries such as Tailwind CSS and Vue.js.
• Extensive experience in REST APIs, OAuth protocols, and Webhooks. Knowledge of various third-party platforms like Payment Gateways, Google Ads, Google Analytics, and Zoho for integrations.
• Strong knowledge of comprehensive web security best practices, including CSRF, XSS protection, secure authentication methods, data encryption, and safe payload validation.
• Proficiency in Git for version control, and experience with deployment on cloud platforms such as AWS and Cloudways.
• Familiarity with SSH and command-line tools for efficient server management and deployment.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• English — fluent, spoken and written.

Nice to have

• Python proficiency is an advantage, especially for potential integration or data-driven tasks.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools to enhance coding speed and quality is preferred.

What we offer

CAD $24,000 to $40,000 per year.

Schedule

Full-Time, Mon-Fri, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.
