Senior Lead Software Engineer
Role Overview
The Experience Design professional (Senior UX/UI Designer or UI Engineer) is responsible for leading the end-to-end user experience and interface design for web and mobile products. This role bridges the gap between business requirements and technical execution to build intuitive, responsive, and high-performance user interfaces.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Development: Lead the design and development of responsive, user-friendly interfaces for web and mobile applications, including portals and dashboards.
User Research & Strategy: Conduct user research, persona development, journey mapping, and usability testing to inform data-driven design decisions.
Prototyping & Wireframing: Create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to support product development.
Design Systems: Establish and maintain UX/UI standards, style guides, and design systems to ensure consistency across all digital platforms.
ServiceNow Implementation: (Specific to UI Engineer) Design and develop custom widgets, pages, and themes on the ServiceNow platform using the Now Experience Framework.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with product managers, developers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into user-centered design solutions.
Mentorship: Guide junior designers through design reviews and feedback to enhance overall team capabilities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience: 5–10 years of experience in UX/UI design or UI engineering for IT product companies.
Technical Proficiency
Front-end: Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, AngularJS, and Bootstrap.
Design Tools: Expert skills in Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
Platforms: Experience with ServiceNow (Service Portal, UI Builder) or modern frameworks like React/Vue.js is preferred.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT, or a related field.
Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, a keen eye for design, and excellent communication for cross-functional collaboration.
