Job Title: Frontend Developer – React & React Native (Web + Mobile)

Location: Gurgaon (Onsite)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Experience Level: 3–5 Years

About Visitly

Visitly is a modern visitor management platform serving enterprise workplaces. Our product spans web and mobile: React web applications where admins, security teams, and hosts manage visitors, workplace configuration, and reporting; a lobby kiosk app that handles check-ins, badge printing, and ID capture; and a companion app that lets hosts manage visitors, deliveries, and emergency evacuations on the go.

About the Role

This is a combined web and mobile frontend role. React (web) is the primary focus for now: you will spend most of your time building features, improving performance, and shaping the component architecture of our React web applications. React Native (mobile) is the secondary focus: as priorities shift, you will pick up work on our kiosk and companion apps, including hardware integrations (Bluetooth printers, cameras, barcode scanners) and releases to the App Store and Google Play.

We are not looking for a web developer who has dabbled in mobile, or a mobile developer who can get by on the web. You should bring real production expertise in both React and React Native, and be comfortable moving between them depending on what the business needs that sprint.

What You’ll Do

  • Build & Evolve Our Web Apps (Primary): Develop features across our React + TypeScript web applications, including data-heavy admin dashboards, reporting views, configuration workflows, and real-time visitor management screens.
  • Shape Frontend Architecture: Contribute to shared component libraries, state management patterns (Redux Toolkit), and our monorepo / micro-frontend setup, keeping web and mobile codebases consistent where it makes sense.
  • Performance & Quality: Profile and optimize rendering performance, bundle size, and accessibility, and write meaningful tests with Jest and React Testing Library.
  • Contribute to the Kiosk App (Secondary): Work on our React Native (0.75) kiosk experience, including Bluetooth badge printing (Brother printers via BLE), camera-based ID scanning, QR code reading, signature capture, and offline-first resilience.
  • Contribute to the Companion App (Secondary): Develop features for our mobile companion app (React Native 0.78), implementing push notifications, map integrations, animations, and deep linking.
  • Native Bridging & Integrations: Work with native modules for camera permissions, keychain storage, device information, and in-app browsers for SSO/SAML authentication flows.
  • Releases & Observability: Ship web releases as well as mobile releases (OTA via CodePush, app store releases via Fastlane). Integrate and monitor Middleware.io APM for distributed tracing, session recording, and crash reporting across web and mobile.

Our Tech Stack

  • Core: React 18+, React Native (0.75 – 0.78), TypeScript, Redux + Redux Thunk / Redux Toolkit
  • Web: Webpack (Module Federation), Styled Components, ag-Grid, Recharts, i18next, Workbox (offline support)
  • Mobile UI & Navigation: React Navigation, Reanimated + Lottie, React Native Paper (MD)
  • Hardware & Device: RNCamera, Vision Camera, BLE (Brother Printers), Signature Capture (HTML-to-PDF)
  • Data & State: AsyncStorage, Axios
  • Build & Deployment: Fastlane (iOS), Gradle, CodePush (OTA), EAS Updates
  • Monitoring & Tools: Middleware.io APM, Firebase (Cloud Messaging, Analytics, Crashlytics)

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of professional frontend experience, with significant production work in both React (web) and React Native (mobile).
  • React (web): Strong command of React 18+ and TypeScript, including hooks, component design, state management (Redux Toolkit), and rendering performance, with experience building complex, data-heavy web UIs.
  • Web fundamentals: Solid HTML, CSS, browser APIs, responsive design, accessibility, and modern build tooling (Webpack or Vite).
  • React Native (mobile): Has shipped and maintained React Native applications on both the App Store and Google Play.
  • Mobile platform skills: Hands-on experience with React Navigation, gesture handling, and native device APIs (cameras, permissions, local storage, push notifications).
  • Build tooling: Comfort navigating iOS and Android build tooling (Xcode, CocoaPods, Gradle, Hermes).
  • Strong understanding of offline-first patterns (network reachability, request queuing, local caching) on both web and mobile.
  • Solid understanding of REST API integration, token refresh flows, and error handling.
  • A strong testing mindset using Jest and React Testing Library.

Nice-to-Have (Bonus Points)

  • Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE): Experience integrating BLE peripherals, especially pairing printers or similar hardware, in React Native.
  • Native modules: Experience with native module development or bridging (Objective-C/Swift, Kotlin/Java).
  • Code sharing: Experience sharing logic, hooks, or design tokens between React web and React Native codebases.
  • Familiarity with monorepo tooling (Turborepo, Nx, Lerna) or micro-frontend architectures (Webpack Module Federation).
  • Knowledge of internationalization (i18next).
  • Familiarity with backend APIs (Spring Boot, Kafka) or general database concepts.

What We Value

  • Full-Spectrum Frontend: You are equally at home in browser DevTools and in Xcode, and you can switch between web and mobile work without losing momentum.
  • Surface-Aware Thinking: You understand the different constraints of a data-dense admin dashboard on a desktop, a lobby kiosk running all day on a tablet, and a phone app dealing with intermittent connectivity.
  • Hardware Empathy: You are the kind of developer who doesn’t mind debugging a Bluetooth pairing issue because a badge printer stopped working at a client site.
  • Platform Fluency: You can confidently navigate web build and deploy pipelines as well as Xcode signing profiles and Gradle build variants without constant hand-holding.
  • Pragmatism: You consistently choose the simple, reliable solution that ships over the elegant, over-engineered abstraction that doesn’t
