Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Pune City, where the selected candidate will contribute to AI-driven drug discovery initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities may include designing and executing experiments, analyzing biological and chemical data, collaborating with data scientists and software engineers, and helping develop or refine computational models and workflows. The role involves preparing clear documentation, reports, and presentations to communicate findings to internal teams and external partners, as well as participating in cross-functional meetings to plan project milestones and troubleshoot scientific and technical challenges. The candidate will also support continuous improvement of laboratory and data processes, adhere to relevant regulatory and ethical standards, and stay current with emerging trends in AI, computational biology, and drug development.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in life sciences or related fields (e.g., biotechnology, pharmacology, computational biology) and familiarity with core concepts in drug discovery and development.
• Experience with data analysis tools or programming languages commonly used in scientific research (such as Python, R, or MATLAB) and the ability to interpret complex datasets.
• Knowledge of AI, machine learning, or bioinformatics methods relevant to drug discovery, or a demonstrated interest and willingness to upskill in these areas.
• Proficiency in experimental design, scientific documentation, and preparation of research reports, presentations, or manuscripts.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and contribute to problem-solving discussions.
• Ability to work on-site in Pune City, manage time and priorities in a fast-paced environment, and maintain high standards of accuracy and integrity.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (e.g., Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Bioinformatics, Computer Science with focus on life sciences); research or industry experience in drug discovery or AI applications in healthcare is an advantage.
