PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT & SOURCING MANAGER-RUGS & CARPETS

SAROM Fab Pvt. Ltd. is expanding its product portfolio and looking for an experienced professional to build and develop our Rugs & Carpets category from the ground up.

📍 Location: Thane, Maharashtra

💼 Experience: 5–7 Years

🏠 Industry: Home Textiles / Home Furnishings / Rugs & Carpets

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Drive end-to-end product development from concept to commercial launch

* Develop commercially relevant Rugs & Carpets collections across different price segments

* Identify, develop and manage manufacturers, artisans & sourcing partners

* Handle product costing, price negotiation, MOQs & margin optimisation

* Manage sampling, approvals, quality & production follow-up

* Strong understanding of materials, yarns, constructions, weaving/tufting techniques, pile, backing & finishing

* Work across constructions such as hand-tufted, hand-knotted, flatweave, woven & machine-made

* Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking & trend analysis

* Develop new designs, textures, materials, constructions and packaging concepts

* Work closely with Design, Purchase, Quality, Sales & Operations

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

* 5–7 years of relevant experience in Rugs / Carpets / Home Textiles

* Strong technical & product knowledge of rugs and carpets

* Proven experience in product development & sourcing

* Strong manufacturer/vendor network

* Excellent costing, negotiation & commercial understanding

* Strong eye for design, colour, texture and market trends

* Ability to independently build and scale a new product category

* Strong ownership, execution and problem-solving skills
