About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Java Spring Boot Developer to join our engineering team at a fintech company in Bangalore. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Java development, Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and RESTful APIs, along with a good understanding of scalable and secure backend systems.

Experience in fintech, banking, payments, lending, or other financial services platforms will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices for financial technology applications.
• Develop scalable, secure, and high-performance backend systems.
• Work with relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, optimize application performance, and ensure code quality.
• Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architectural decisions.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure application reliability.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools to support efficient software delivery.
• Follow secure coding practices and contribute to the reliability and scalability of fintech applications.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming concepts.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and the Spring Framework.
• Experience in developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Good understanding of SQL and relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Hibernate/JPA.
• Familiarity with Git and build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
• Knowledge of unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
• Understanding of multithreading, exception handling, collections, and Java fundamentals.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced development environment.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in the fintech, banking, payments, lending, or financial services domain.
• Familiarity with Apache Kafka or other messaging systems.
• Exposure to AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools.
• Understanding of application security, transaction processing, and data consistency.
• Knowledge of payment gateways, financial APIs, or banking integrations.
