Senior Software Integration Engineer
Azoma is a hypergrowth company defining the agentic commerce category. Our revenue has grown tenfold over the past year, and we now work with 20 of the world’s 50 largest CPG companies, alongside other enterprise customers.
We’re building the merchant-side infrastructure for the era of personal shopping agents - transforming how brands and retailers work with AI agents that discover, evaluate and purchase products on behalf of consumers.
Our team combines advanced AI, software engineering and deep commerce expertise. Joining Azoma means taking hands-on ownership as we scale, shaping products used by global brands and helping define how commerce works in the age of AI.
Build the integrations that turn Azoma’s intelligence into action across the commerce ecosystem. We’re hiring software integration engineer who can investigate an unfamiliar platform, understand its data model and ship a connector that customers can depend on. You’ll own the full lifecycle across retailer, PIM, advertising and analytics systems, expanding our product’s reach while making each connection reusable, observable and straightforward to operate.
What you will do
- Build production connectors for commerce platforms, retailer systems, PIMs, advertising platforms, analytics systems and customer marketing data clouds.
- Implement supported ingestion, publishing and syndication workflows; handle authentication, pagination, rate limits, webhooks and incremental updates without losing records or creating duplicate operations.
- Translate product identifiers, variants, attributes and performance data between schemas; preserve source meaning and work with domain experts to resolve platform-specific requirements.
- Take connectors through testing and customer launch into ongoing operation; trace failures across API responses, credentials, queues and stored data, and verify downstream results.
- Build shared synchronization, mapping and diagnostic components, maintain integrations through API changes, and give implementation colleagues clear setup instructions and recoverable failure paths.Skills and experience
- Experience personally building and maintaining third-party integrations in production, with examples of handling undocumented behavior, incomplete responses or platform changes after the first launch.
- Strong backend development in Python or TypeScript/Node.js, with HTTP, REST, JSON, OAuth and API debugging.
- Practical synchronization design: checkpoints, idempotency, retries, rate-limit handling and reconciliation. You can explain how a failed or interrupted sync resumes safely.
- Confident data modeling, mapping and SQL skills, including product identifiers and schema differences; you investigate discrepancies rather than silently dropping or inventing source attributes.
- A habit of testing actual outcomes, writing useful operational documentation and communicating platform limitations clearly to product, implementation and customer-facing colleagues.
