Role Description This is a full-time, on-site PHP Developer role based in Bengaluru. The PHP Developer will design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs that power GuavaSure’s web applications and core platform features. Responsibilities include writing clean, scalable PHP code, implementing object-oriented designs, integrating data storage solutions, and optimizing application performance and security. The role also involves collaborating with front-end developers to ensure seamless user experiences, working closely with product and design teams to translate requirements into technical solutions, and participating in code reviews and testing activities. The developer will help enhance existing systems, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices and architecture.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Back-End Web Development and Programming using PHP and related frameworks.
• Candidates should possess solid Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) skills and experience applying software development principles and design patterns.
• Candidates should possess foundational Front-End Development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) to collaborate effectively with UI/UX teams.
• Candidates should possess comprehensive Software Development skills, including version control (Git), testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL/PostgreSQL) and API development (RESTful services) is highly beneficial.
• Familiarity with security best practices, performance optimization, and scalable architecture in web applications is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is desirable.
• Ability to work collaboratively in an on-site team environment, communicate clearly, and take ownership of deliverables.
• Experience in consumer-facing platforms, healthcare or insurance technology, or pet-focused products is a plus.
