HealthTech Product Owner (Part-time, Equity only)
HiWox — HealthTech Product Owner
Position: HealthTech Product Owner
Engagement: Equity-Based Founding Team Role
Location: Remote / Hybrid
Commitment: 20–25 hours per week
About HiWox
HiWox is building a personalised Wellness Intelligence Platform and Healthcare Operating System (HOS) designed to bring structure, intelligence, and personalisation to preventive healthcare and wellness management.
The platform integrates health and lifestyle data across nine dimensions of wellness, analyses this information through evidence-based algorithms, and generates explainable, personalised recommendations, rituals, programs, and insights.
We are looking for a HealthTech Product Owner who can translate this vision into a well-defined, scalable technology product and take ownership of product development from planning to launch and continuous improvement.
Key Roles & Responsibilities1. Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Define and manage the product roadmap, feature priorities, development milestones, and release plans.
- Translate the HiWox vision and business objectives into clear product requirements and actionable development plans.
- Define the user journey across all nine dimensions of wellness and ensure consistency across the platform.
- Identify opportunities to improve product usability, personalisation, engagement, and scalability.
- Health Data Architecture & Product Intelligence
- Work with domain experts, data scientists, and developers to structure health and lifestyle data across the nine wellness dimensions.
- Define data points, collection methods, validation rules, and relationships between different health parameters.
- Coordinate the development of deterministic, evidence-backed algorithms that convert collected data into explainable insights and recommendations.
- Ensure recommendations, rituals, reminders, and wellness programs are logically connected to user data and defined health rules.
- Product Development & Technical Coordination
- Work closely with UI/UX designers, full-stack developers, mobile developers, and data scientists to drive product execution.
- Prepare product requirement documents (PRDs), user stories, feature specifications, and acceptance criteria.
- Manage development priorities, sprint planning, testing, bug tracking, and release coordination.
- Ensure that product features are delivered according to defined requirements, timelines, and quality standards.
- User Experience & Product Validation
- Map and optimise end-to-end user journeys, including onboarding, data collection, assessments, dashboards, recommendations, and follow-ups.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and feedback analysis to identify product gaps.
- Coordinate pilot testing, collect user feedback, and convert findings into product improvements.
- Track engagement, retention, feature adoption, and user satisfaction.
- Healthcare Ecosystem & Integrations
- Define product requirements for integrating data from smartphones, wearable devices, health rings, sensors, and third-party healthcare devices.
- Coordinate integrations with clinical tests, healthcare professionals, wellness consultants, and partner organisations.
- Work on product workflows supporting the HiWox Captain model, including onboarding, offline coordination, assessments, follow-ups, and evidence-based progress tracking.
- Ensure appropriate health data privacy, consent, security, and access-control requirements are incorporated into product development.
- Product Analytics & Continuous Improvement
- Define product KPIs and build dashboards to monitor user acquisition, activation, engagement, retention, and feature performance.
- Analyse product usage data and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Evaluate feature performance against user needs and business objectives.
- Continuously improve product functionality based on data, research, and feedback.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Delivery of a clearly defined and prioritised product roadmap.
- Completion of PRDs, user stories, workflows, and product specifications.
- Successful coordination of app development, testing, and product releases.
- Structured data collection and product workflows across all nine wellness dimensions.
- Implementation and validation of recommendation and wellness-program workflows.
- Successful pilot testing and measurable improvements in user experience.
- Improvements in activation, engagement, retention, and feature adoption.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Health Informatics, Healthcare Management, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Product Management, or a related field.
- Experience in product ownership, product management, or digital product development.
- Understanding of healthcare workflows, health data systems, digital health products, or wellness technology.
- Ability to create PRDs, user stories, product roadmaps, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
- Familiarity with Agile development, sprint planning, UI/UX, APIs, databases, and product analytics.
- Strong coordination, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and execution capabilities.
- Experience in HealthTech, digital therapeutics, preventive healthcare, wearables, or data-driven wellness platforms will be an advantage.
Equity-Based Engagement Terms
- This is an equity-based founding team opportunity, not a salaried position at the current stage.
- The selected candidate will work directly with the founder and technology team, taking ownership of product strategy and execution.
- Expected commitment: 20–25 hours per week.
- Equity participation will be discussed based on experience, contribution, responsibilities, and long-term commitment.
- A proposed five-year vesting structure will apply, subject to the final founding team agreement.
- Fixed compensation may be considered after funding and revenue stabilisation. This could take 6–8 months or potentially a year; there is no guaranteed timeline.
What We Expect
We are looking for someone who can take ownership of building a HealthTech product rather than simply coordinating software development. The ideal candidate should understand how healthcare data, technology, product design, and evidence-based intelligence come together to create a meaningful user experience.
The candidate must be comfortable working in an early-stage startup, making product decisions, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and converting a broad product vision into measurable development outcomes.
